Went the week after the rally. Much quieter, but many rally shops still open. Fantastic area in the Black Hills.Fort Mead has a great museum (closed during the rally) and Bear Butte are worth visiting.

With the snow that hit, plows and people were all working together to help one another, my husband was given gloves and a snow brush/ by a complete stranger. When he returned to our vehicle he found his and was able to pass the brush/scraper on .

"We absolutely loved this hotel! The front desk staff was so accommodating. We needed batteries and a screwdriver for a kids toy and she was so nice and just said, i got you! Was clean and friendly at all spots. Even housekeepers were super friendly when walking by. Would stay here over again and again. "
