"One of the best hotels my wife and I have stayed at. Breakfast was excellant. Spa area indoor pool and gardens where very relaxing. We will definitely return."
"Stayed here for 2 nights. We had room 8. Very large, spacious room. Some updating could be done, however, everything did the job. Pool was good size and had a small area for toddlers. Only complaint we had was the room was very hot. We stayed during the heatwave, so expected warm weather, but the only opening window was in the bathroom, and upon arrival the towel heater in the bathroom was switched on. If traveling with toddlers please check this, because it is extremely hot and can be a burn risk for little hands. Overall, would stay here again."
"In a nice location close to the racecourse, river and shops all within a few minutes walk. Even though on a busy road you could hardly hear the traffic noise even though we were in the front of the hotel. "

"We stay at the hotel once a year as a treat. It’s such a unique and friendly hotel with fantastic staff. It’s a very old hotel but they keep it updated but somethings like not having walk in showers might put some off as the shower is a curtain around the bath but that just adds to the charm for us. Chester is a lovely place to visit and the hotel is in a great location. "
"We had a very long journey and were very tired Olin arrival, we were greeting by a lovely receptionist, it was quite late in the evening so we were thrilled to see the room service options, had a lovely meal, wonderful sleep on extremely comfortable beds, breakfast was delightful as were all the staff. "Had a wonderful night over using the facilities spa swimming steam room jacuzzi and relaxing. Only negative was we had room service breakfast which came with no toast butter or jam for croissants apart from that exceptional and will return "

"Chester is a fantastic city to visit especially with the children. Lots to see and do. We dod a family trail and learnt do much. The hotel was a great base, just across the road is a park and ride bus service that took you straight to the centre snd easy to pick up back to the hotel. Great to have the pool and restaurant service too the breakfast certainly filled us up for our days out. "
"Travelling from York, so was a stop over before hitting Wales. Hey, it was a nice place to stay. The room was incredible (although for me, I'd change the carpet on the staircase to room 9. Visually, very tricky!!) Check in was quick and easy. The only thing I'd point out, and it is nit picking, I think the staff need to be more 'that's no problem, we'll sort that out' as opposed to 'we'll see what we can do,' ... Yeah, I've worked in customer service for 40 + years blah blah... and we all have off days. We're dealing with the hardest product known to man!!... the public!! It can be draining! But the smallest adjustment in focus can make a huge difference. But like I say, I'm being proper mean and picky there.
Food was excellent, the checkout lady was lovely as were the breakfast people. I'd definitely consider stopping again. "
