Loved this hotel - absolutely fantastic location literally at the foot of the Railto bridge so central to everything and with a water ferry and taxi rank right in front - supermarket next door and laundromat a 7 minute walk we fell in love with Venice and this quirky little hotel was a shining star

Unfortunately there were steps to get to our room. The staff were available to help with luggage when we arrived and left. Room itself large. Looked out over a side canal. A lot of noise from upstairs or sure if hotel or other usage. Easy to access from grand canal transport.

Amazing room - true to the description. Tons of space and a nice sofa to lounge on. Service was excellent. Very good location right next to the Rialto bridge which made to/from train station as well as getting around the city so much easier.

Our room was nice but had several issues in the beginning, although the staff attempted to solve most of them it was still an inconvenience. First, the air conditioner in the room is grossly inadequate, it took forever to cool the room down and only after we requested a fan and placed it on top of the air conditioner. Second, the television didn’t work, they had to shut the power to the room off and then back on, that corrected the problem. Lastly, apparently the toilet had been replaced the week before, but the fresh water supply was leaking on the floor. They didn’t have anyone to fix it so we ended up putting a towel around the base to catch the water. Overall, I loved the charm of the place but I left disappointed.

The room was nice with a very nice comfy bed and pillows. The hospitality was nice as well. The surrounding area is perfect with shopping and restaurants. It is also next to the water bus drop off which makes traveling a lot easier. Overall, a very nice hotel.

We spent two nights in the Casanova Room in June and couldn’t have been happier. It was expensive but that’s Venice. The location is amazing, right on the Grand Canal, a stone’s throw from the Rialto Bridge. The room itself has a view of one of the smaller canals. The building had to be hundreds of years old, yet the room had every modern amenity (while still maintaining the charm of Venice). The bathroom was large and well equipped, there were plenty of outlets, and the air conditioning was great (which is saying a lot of a hotel in Italy in the summer). My teens shared the pull-out coach, which was surprisingly comfortable and roomy. Each day they refreshed large containers of still and sparking water in the fridge and on the first day we had a container full of Italian cookies (which did not last until day two). We had a continental breakfast delivered the day we left and found it to be delicious and reasonably priced. I can’t say enough for how responsive and helpful the staff at this hotel is. I had never stayed in Venice before and because there are no cars inside the island and we had a lot of luggage I had a ton of questions about how to get there from the airport. The hotel always responded quickly and thoroughly, despite the time difference, giving us lots of options and arranging the water taxi for us. When there was an issue where none of the water taxis were allowed to leave the airport that day the staff at the hotel got us a car to the bus station

Beautiful spot with a cute little window looking out on the canal with gondolas going by all the time. Very central location. Beautiful bathroom, all very clean. Very comfortable bed and bedding. A/C kept it around 23 going all the time. Very helpful staff. Loved it, will be back.

Very happy with our choice
The location was perfect and everything was great. The only issue was that we couldn’t make the room cooler. There were nice restaurants close by and the Rialto water taxi was right in front of the hotel. We could have used it to get to the hotel but didn’t know where we were going. We took a private taxi for $70 but at the end of our stay we took the public water taxi for $9.50 each.

Loved that it was right by the water taxi on the grand canal. Easy access and no long walks through crowds with luggage. Rooms/bathroom was super clean and tidy and the AC worked great! Hotel staff were very nice and helpful. The hotel added nice, little touches that made the experience wonderful. We had a canal view, and even though you're right next to Rialto bridge, it was so quiet! Location is perfect with easy access to anywhere in Venice,including the other small islands. Great place to stay and would book there again.

The hotel was in a perfect location. Walking distance to most things. The hotel was very helpful with accommodations to and from the hotel. Communication was not great. I had to follow up on transfers I asked for there was no confirmations even though they said they would send them. There was no porter on duty the day we left for the airport which caused us to have to carry luggage down a few flights of steep stairs. We stayed on the museum side of the hotel which was a bit unusual because museum goers were also in our entryway. Lastly the room was noted to have a canal view. You would have to open the window and stick your head out and look down to see the canal.

The place to stay in Venice
Our stay was very nice, great location, easy access to water taxes. The breakfast dining room over looked the canal beautiful. The standard room was a little small , but very modern but comfortable. The staff catered to our needs, they were very helpful in every way. The breakfast was amazing everything you would want. I would stay there again.
