Easy stay, fair pay!
Friendly staff! Very easy going. There was some trash laying around outside but it seemed to be from bad guests. I see a bright future, I understand there is new ownership/management. Would definitely stay again, needs some repairs but I believe the new caretakers will get it under control soon enough.

Not a clean hotel!!!
There was drug activity in the parking lot, filthy room, no hand towels it washclothes available, 2 lights were burned out, remote control didn't work, and a beeping steady from the dishwasher that was annoying. There was loud voices in thd room a few down the hall i could hear in my room as well. I let them knos at the front desk and he said he couldnt do anythjng about it but move me to a different room. So he did that but it was also very dirty and stained carpets that were dirty. Not a sage hotel and I left an hour after arriving because I just wasnt comfortable staying there nor did I feel my vehicle was safe in tge parking lot.

I’d stay somewhere else
I do not recommend, even for the price. It’s super dirty, run down, a bit sketchy, definitely long term tenants, not at all like pictures.

Worst stay in Minneapolis.
Poor excuse for a hotel. Felt more like a homeless shelter. Dirty, smells, rooms are in rough condition, no towels in the room, no garbage bag in the waste bucket, linen was old and in rough shape. Spend an extra $10-$20 and stay somewhere better. Hotels.com should kick them off the website. Never again

Nort worh the stay at all.
Not worth the stay ar all. It looks this hotel is hosting people for long term and not ahort term. The bathroom water kept running all night. The haveold in the room that probably been there for a while. Not worth the stay, especially if you have kids.

AC didn't seem to work right.
Over all I enjoyed my stay. The water pressure in the shower was awesome. Though, I think the AC in the room we stayed in needs service or replacement. Room 345. It just kept making the room more and more humid. We soon realized it was cooler outside than in, shut it off and opened the windows. I loved that we could open the windows. Related to the increasing humidity, the sort of air diverter thing on top of the AC had a considerable amount of black mold growing on and in it. I guess the plastic could be stained and un-cleanable, but it looks like it could be cleaned and someone tried at some point. Probably needs some disassembly to clean effectively.
The most bothersome thing about that room was that the exterior building lights shined out the bottom of the curtains in the bedroom and the brightness made it difficult for me to sleep. I could not figure out a way to block the light. Having the blackout curtain be substantially longer could help I bet.

The rooms are great, and the staff was great. Always people hanging around the parking lot, so it did not feel overly safe to me returning to room at night.

Not bad
Very nice stay just never had anyone refresh my towels or sheets and there were people who liked to hangout in the front who didn’t seem to be staying there after 8pm. Room was very clean and all amenities worked.

Never going back
The property is tired and worn. The furniture is worn. The doors don’t fit or close properly. The halls were filled with trash. There was a target shopping cart in the hall. The exterior doors were not operating properly. Only the main entrance was fit for use. The hotel public areas were uncomfortably warm with no or poor air conditioning. The hotel public area smelt of trash and cigarette smoke. The staff was exhibiting strong I hate this job attitude. The room smelt horribly of cigarette smoke. There’s tons of no smoking signs eveywhere but the place stinks. The carpet is extremely worn, stained and nasty.

Rolled up and immediately the place felt sketchy. Random people lingering in the parking lot and a security guard at the front desk. They told me the hotel was oversold and tried calling me. They apparently didn't think to leave a message. "maybe" they could set me up at another place 10 miles away. I walked out.

One of the front counter staff was very rude and bad service. They need to be trained on how to do better service to customers. I get that it’s a lower price compared to other hotels but at least be professional manners to customers in any situation. I do not recommend anybody stay in Sonesta!

I chose this hotel brand because it came highly recommended by a friend who has stayed at the Edina location. I came down from Fargo, ND to work at the State Fair and I wanted a hotel room with a kitchen so I wouldn't have to eat out for every meal.
I do want to say that everyone that I've spoken with at the front desk has been helpful and has done their best to fix things quickly, even maintenance. It's just that there were too many issues for the amount of money that I've paid to stay here.
Hotel issues:
-No turntable in the microwave (front desk provided one when mentioned)
-Dishwasher has no cap where the soap goes (thankfully I bought pods and can kind of shove it in there)
-No glass in the bottom shelf of the fridge, so the drawers are just open on the top
-No plug for the kitchen sink/disposal (I bought one at Walmart for $2)
-My first set of towels REAKED of cigarette smoke
-My room hasn't been cleaned since I got there, even though I left the card on the door handle (my garbage is overflowing)
-My bathroom sink started draining slowly after 4 days
-Toilet overflowed on day 6
-Only 2 working washing machines and 3 working dryers
-Toilet still plugged on day 8
-Elevator out of order on day 8
-Toilet fixed and room finally cleaned on day 8
-Toilet is plugged again today (Friday 8/30)
-There were no security measures to keep non-guests from entering the hotel: no key required to get into the building, and the side door to the patio was propped open.
