central location. Easy to get around or get lost.
Despite the short stay we were able to enjoy Belem despite its reputation for being an unsafe city. Though most residents only speak Portuguese, we who speak English only were able to communicate with almost all those we approached. The people were very friendly.

Average room and hotel for the price. It is supposed to be an upscale hotel in the city; however, needs improvements to get there. Staff is not always available and/or helpful. They state that the staff speaks other languages; however, they were unable to understand me when I called to ask for information. Restaurant offers breakfast; however, it was extremely dirty every time I went to have breakfast. Waitresses are rude and slow service. In the room, from all the channels that were offered on the TV half of them were not working.

the hotel is basic.The place is not new, but you have pool. Service is not great. No room service or anything beyond cheking in and getting the internet in your devices. Besides this, they are very limited.

Desperately needs updates
It's not that the hotel is old and dated. What disappointed us was that the rooms were minuscule, barebone, that the air-conditioned in one room was so loud that one of us could not sleep, that the air-conditioned in another room was not working and another one of us had to change rooms after a sleepless night, that the hallways had malfunctioning light sensors, rendering them pitch dark. The pros are the very courteous staff, a good breakfast. But overall this was not a hotel worthy of the 4 stars that this site gave it, one that I would not like to return.

Good Location, Generally Clean, Plain Rooms
Hotel Experience: Amazing lobby Rooms are plain, extremely plain, but very clean Room Interior: The TV is hanging from the ceiling Shower door wouldn't close There are switches in the nightstand to turn off lights --- I really hate those :) Check in Experience: The reservation price included breakfast. I checked in at 9am and realized I was checking out very early at 4am, so as I was hungry I asked if I could have breakfast that day as I would miss breakfast on my checkout day. I thought it was a fair request; I had flown since 3am and was hungry. The front desk attendant said no and that it wasn’t possible. I was like, OK and proceeded to ask where the closest bakery was. Another front desk attendant overheard this and went to the mager who approved my request as I wasn't asking for anything for free, basically replacing breakfast from one day to another. My advice it to ask for a supervisor, be professional in how you ask your request, but don't take what the front desk attendant says as a final answer. Most of them are not trained in Customer Service. Belem Hotel Advice: Crowne Plaza is close by. I encourage anyone wanting to stay in this neighborhood to compare there two hotels. Then, make a decision on the best one for you. Good luck in your hotel search in Belem do Para!

Hotel is fine, a bit busy when i was there, location is ok, a little walk to the theatre or the churches, a nice walk, not bad, swimming pool, ok, though it is surrounded by buildings so almost no sun, only around noon, the staff doesn't speak english, , and that in a business hotel, other than that for the price i payed, i would try a nother hotel the next time i visit belem.
