Overall the vibe is great. The setup of the rooms was fantastic and roomy. The beds are comfy, hot water plentiful, easy access to the lifts. The downfall for our stay (this might be a one off) was the service. We had two separate booking because we decided to add one more night last minute. When making the last minute booking we were told that there were plenty of rooms available with the larger rooms but sold out of the small rooms with our original booking. When we got to the lodge we asked if we could pay the difference and stay in the larger room so we would haven’t to switch the next day. They were not honest and said they were full. I called to verify like I would book a room and was told there were plenty. Once I found out that we couldn’t stay in our room, I asked if they had a place to store our luggage they said no. Then I asked if we could keep them on one of the push carts they said no, we had to put our stuff back in our car. We did that, however, we saw that they let multiple other families keep their luggage in the lobby for hours. The icing on the cake was on the first night when we went to go to bed, we had blood on our sheets. We removed them and slept on the blankets we brought because we were exhausted and wanted to go to bed. When I brought this up to the staff, they did nothing but say sorry. I asked to talk to a manager and gave my number. I still have yet to receive a call. I feel like another number instead of like a customer.

Felt like I stayed in a rundown 70’s motel
Look, this place needs a major overhaul, every thing is soooooo outdated, the room furniture, had like a dog was chewing on the sides of the rolling chairs. The tables had scratches all over them. The carpet was soiled with something it looks like wax I think but these are pet friendly room so I’m not sure what was going on.. there was one of the bed lamps was not working and the outlet next to the bed was not functioning there were out two lightbulbs missing from the track light above the kitchen.

Must do better …
Our experience was below average at best. There were fans outside our room for our three night stay. They were loud and all we could smell was musty air. We asked the front desk for blankets and they said they were coming right up. We had to call back again. Twice we needed maintenance to come … and they never came. Our TVs were dark and could only see picture if we held our phone lights up to the sensor on the TV. The interior decor was very worn.

Always beautiful at Crested Butte! Had power outage but was handled promptly and professionally. Our room was clean but lacked some basics like a stopper for kitchen sink and limited eating utensils . However we still made due and enjoyed our trip.

Good memories
I've been staying here for my birthday in January the last 6 years. The location, price and services have been great! What first drew me here was they are puppy friendly and my little guy loved it. He was quite the people person and got lots of attention. Which couldn't make him happier. This was my first year here since he passed and it brought back lots of good memories. The only thing I'd like to see changed is having to use the ski valet.
