I arrived to check in at 8:00PM, met a young man at the front desk who clearly didn't feel like working. Attitude & work ethic left much to be desired. Wasn't given a key to B275 because machine was down. Was told in 15 minutes, it should be back up. Got to the room, master key of 2 security officers failed to open the door. Maintenence was summoned who arrived 20 minutes later. After 25 minutes of failed attempts with his laptop to open the door, agreed to my request, to ask front desk for a change of room. Had to go back to front desk in pouring rain. Given B170 but still no key and no umbrella.
Entered the room nearly 10:00PM, after security was able to open the door of the 2nd room. Entered the room and it was clear that the room was not cleaned or was not completely cleaned or was cleaned in a rush. The roilet bowl and seat, which was still up, had urine on it. The garbage from previous guest was still there including empty soap boxes in the shower, etc. The hand towel and at least one wash cloth was visibly used.
And through all this, not a single apology. I shared the photos with a colleague who called the hotel & that prompted a call from front desk. By this time, I was too angry, too tired and already soaked by the rain. So i told the young lady who called that I would write to the GM. I sat around the kitchen counter top until 5:30AM, i.e., time to leave the hotel for the airport.
Had many visits to the resort before w/issues, changed rooms. BUT THIS IS MY LAST
