Room temperature was constantly 26-27c. After being asked, front desk “remotely lowered” the temperature to 20c remotely and a fan was sent but it didn’t help at all, still around 26c and could hardly sleep! Would not recommend room 8xx, which is in another building behind the main building, and is closer to the train station and noisier in the night.

The elevator was too narrow and the staff was not friendly enough to give correct directions to the room . The room was very hot when we lowered the temperature of the ac , but when we called the reception they lowered it in a moment from the reception, so do call them !it was comfortable after that

The location can’t be beat, the breakfast options are decent, and the staff is friendly but that’s where the positives end. It is right next to the train station so it’s noisy. This didn’t bother me but I’m used to a large city and trains here are frequent, starting early in AM (~5-6AM), so keep that in mind. For the negatives, there is no consistent access to water to refill bottles. I’m aware this is common in Italy, but it is specifically noted at breakfast bar to not use their bottles to refill your own. Single use plastic cups with lemon water left in lobby but no other water that I could find. They sell the bottles they leave in your room for 2.5€ each (not clearly communicated) so just buy large ones at the market across the street for 1€ instead. The air conditioning vent is located directly below the window so the room never got cold even at the coldest setting (18C). The ceiling had an abnormal number of cracks spanning the entire ceiling - normally wouldn’t mention something like this but it was a significant number of cracks. If you intend to spend very little time in your hotel room and don’t mind a lack of air conditioning, the proximity to the train station is great! About a 15-20min walk to main area and tons of restaurants. Lack of A/C during a heatwave (90-100F) was a big negative for me.

Air conditioning is confusing to use for first-time travelers. The hotel needs to give clear instructions on arrival to make it clear that guests should make sure all windows are sealed when trying to activate. Cleaning crew left a window unlocked and we woke up to a 90 degree room during the middle of the night. The area around the train station felt like a rough part of the city, but it was convenient and we felt safe in a group. Breakfast was very good and a very good deal.

Beds are hard. Very close to the trains- so close you hear them in very 5 mins. Our bathroom facilities weren’t the cleanest. The interior of the rooms is just old and needs updating. It’s ok if you need a quick place to stay. I wouldn’t extend the trip here though. We o ly stayed one night.

We chose the hotel for its proximity to the rail station and the centre of Florence. Considering how close it is to both, the Embassy is quiet, spacious, elegant and reasonably priced.

The Embassy Hotel was great! The location is fantastic and the facilities were well worth the price! However what was truly great was the staff- at the front desk Sophia and Martina were not only helpful but added humour and a touch of class that made our stay great. Also the breakfasts were great but again the service in the beautiful dinning room was outstanding. Nikla ( not sure of the spelling) and the other staff in the dinning room were prompt, efficient and ensured a great experience! We wouldn’t hesitate to stay at the Embassy again!

Great location. Walkable to train station and main attractions such as Santa Maria Novella. Hotel is clean and renovated. Our room , both bedroom & bathroom were spacious, neat & clean. Some minor flaws like can’t control the AC temperature. It doesn’t cool enough to my preference but manageable. Tat goes for the water temperature, it fluctuates ; from hot to cold then cold to hot without touching. Again these minor things. Breakfast was good. It has some hot meal breakfast & plenty of bread and fruits to choose from. Overall our 3 nights stay was wonderful. I will come back. I recommend
