Checking out after hours with no staff on-site was a nightmare, especially when I called for assistance, but the staff on the other end had no knowledge of the hotelโs situation. How were they supposed to provide accurate information to help guests leave smoothly?
In my case, I had already checked out, and my room key had been collected by the machine. So how was I supposed to open the gate? On top of that, the gateโwhich had no access controlโled directly to a Cosmed pharmacy, with a sign explicitly stating not to pass through to avoid triggering the alarm.
Yet, the person on the phone, completely unaware of the hotelโs setup, simply told me to walk down. At one point, they even asked, โWhy do all of you have problems?โ Is that really the correct way to respond? It was highly unprofessional.
So, after returning the room key during off-hours, how exactly are guests supposed to leave the hotel?
