It was listed as Suburban Studios Santee. It is not in Santee. It is in Orangeburg, directly off the highway and in a bad neighborhood.

The housekeeping or maintainence staff knock on our room door at 10 am to ask us what time will we be leaving knowing that check out time is at 11 am. When we arrive at 3pm no smoking rooms were available so we had to wait for about 30 minutes and their still was no smoking rooms so we had to get a nonsmoking room.

1st lied on Expedia about types of rooms available. And a 100 dollar deposit per person so the room is 3 times the listed price 2 the bathroom was gross 3. All times of night strangers knocked at my door no one answerd when i called the front desk. 4. 6:00 me and my wife went outside for a cigarette numerous cops where in the parkinglot 5.With 3 hours before checkout maids appear rushing us to leave.

Upon arriving in the the clerk wasp the phone so I’m standing there no acknowledgment of my existence or a simple I’ll be right with you. I retreated back the my vehicle to get my phone and she was still on the phone after several minutes. Staff was very unhelpful I attempted to check in at 2:39 only to be told that there were no rooms available. And then advised that check in was as 3:00pm. When I stated that it was only 20 minutes away, she then stated that there was only one housekeeper working at that time. I waited the 20 minutes then attempted to check in Property Manager Theresa assigned us to a handicapped room that had a very foul smell. I’m not sure if she done this on purpose but here shift ended at 3:00. So we ended up changing to a different room. The room was not properly cleaned heavy dust throughout the room. Dead bugs on the floor, extremely heavy build up of ice in the refrigerator freezer. The tub had heavy dirt buildup inside the tub. I took numerous photos of the condition of the room. I know this is not a 5 star hotel but the condition of the rooms were substandard at best. Not all of the staff the young lady who assisted us in changing our room was very pleasant and helpful. I have stayed here several times in the past and never had a problem with the staff until my encounter with property manger Theresa.

I had to book another hotel, I was uncomfortable utilizing the bathroom or sleeping on the bed. The outlets were detached from the wall, it had an odor, the front desk personnel was very professional and willing to assist, however the accommodations were horrible, I’m traveling with my two daughters ages 6 & 2, my oldest asked me if we could leave.
