Found this property on hotels.com and needed a last minute place close to Fredericksburg for a long weekend with family. Wow! I can’t imagine staying anywhere else now. We will be back! Loved the bluff views, the night sky, the cold A/C, the cattle, the ponies, the quiet, the peace. Oh, and free, delivered to your door, breakfast!? Contigo Ranch will not disappoint!

Beautiful and peaceful.

Contigo Ranch is a very beautiful and peaceful place. Just sitting on the porch, either in front or the back, one can observe wonderful wildlife such as deers, wild turkeys, humming birds, road runners and the ever talking colony of Purple Martins. The flowering Sage added just the perfect touch of color. The breakfast delivered in picnic basket in the morning was very good.

Loved our stay here! Came for a weekend trip (stayed in Cottage 10) and it was the perfect spot for a getaway in the hill country. We came at night and it is far from the main road (and from downtown Fredericksburg is about 30 min out). We had no problem being a bit further out, as we would just go downtown and to the wineries during the day. I would definitely be careful with deer/wild animals if you are driving at night. Also, there are narrow bridges to get to the property, so drive slow. Overall beautiful property, the cottage was extremely clean and we loved the “breakfast boxes” each morning! Would definitely stay again.
