Positives:
-felt very safe
-property is beautiful
-was not crowded/no issue getting chairs at all pools
-bed was very comfortable
-view from room (5th floor King beachfront-you could hear the ocean waves from the bed)
-location
-affordable
-drinks were good
-nondairy powder creamer and almond and coconut milk available for coffee (hot only no iced coffee)
Negatives:
-food was awful (worst at any all-inclusive I have stayed at)/only had one good meal (Italian restaurant-that you couldn't just walk into you had to make a reservation ahead of time even if it was empty)/dessert was such a disappointment (during 4 night stay I only had one redeeming item-flan)/snack bar was decent (saved us on 2 different occasions)/after 4 night stay only had few items that were ok at buffet (chicken and pork tacos were the highlight)
-called for room service one night-was never delivered-when I called they said "omg sorry so busy we wonโt get to you"
-shower drain clogged entire trip/shower never got hot
-toilet leaking
-no hand towels
-bath mat taken 2 days in and never replaced
-had difficulty communicating with most staff (most were friendly)
-resort was undergoing construction in several areas (which is why we upgraded to beachfront)
I would not stay here again and I cannot recommend.

Itโs also a timeshare now :-(
I have been staying at this hotel for the past 15 years. I still love the location and the beauty of the hotel but It was recently bought by another company, and now it is also part timeshare. The hotel is beautiful, the food is still very good, but the service is much different. Itโs not as friendly and personable as it once was. The other change is because of the timeshare option now, there are segregated portions of the hotel that you no longer have access to because itโs for the members only. It feels very cold and elitist. Still a beautiful hotel, just not the same experience as it has been for so many years. I will be looking for a new place to stay in San Jose Del Cabo.

10 lazy days in the sun
Our 10 day stay here was amazing......the staff were all fantastic especially the pool bar staff Randell Zaryl Sam and Avi.
Food was plentiful and great choices....our favorite restaurant was the Italian.
Rooms were always clean and house keeping staff friendly and helpful.
Only problem we had was the night manager who was extremely rude and mean to us - 2 senior ladies - when we asked for some help......he needs some manners.

Iffy Place with Poor Management
the management has serious problems. 1) For 2 evenings there was no hot water. Warm but not warm enough for a comfortable shower. 2) housekeeping left us only 1 towel and two face clothes even after I tipped the cleaner! We had to wait for towels before we could shower. 3) Restaurant service is incredibly slow. 4) Food varies from good to poor, with the majoring being poor. 5) Bed is very firm memory foam, not good for side sleepers like me. I woke several times each night in pain. 5) Listen to the negative reviews. They speak the truth. If you go here, you take your chances.

It was an excellent experience at gr solaris lighthouse with one exception: last sunday 3 pm we were at the reception to stay at our "single king size bed in a seafront room." That was our choice, through Expedia website. They didn't have the room. They proposed a double bed seafront room. We didn't accept it, we were only 2. It took them 2 hours to ready the room. We were able to receive the room at 5pm.

We enjoyed our 10 night stay and canโt say enough about the amazing staff. They were so helpful and friendly. There are lots of choices for food and 2 bars to get drinks from. Our room was cleaned and restocked every day. They did have shortage of towels from time to time. Beds were comfortable and always had hot water for our showers.
We walked or took the bus to many places in the area and always felt safe.
