Learn more about Hood River
Catch the wind in this Columbia River paradise where kiteboarders and windsurfers harness famous river swells with almost religious dedication. The gorge creates a natural wind tunnel that draws board enthusiasts from across the globe. After conquering the water, sample local vintages at Mt. Hood Winery or explore the fruit-laden Hood River Valley, where roadside stands offer just-picked bounty. Downtown's breweries pour craft beers perfect for celebrating a day on the water. For a change of pace, board the Mount Hood Railroad or hike to the mirror-like surface of Lost Lake. The sidewalks and parks allow unrestricted public drinking – perhaps the most civilized law in the Pacific Northwest.

Bonneville Hot Springs Resort & Spa
"Relaxing great away for couples"
Motel 6 The Dalles, OR
"It was a great stay, very clean, tasty coffee in the lobby, great mattress, lots of charging capabilities, lights and bedside tables on both sides. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is for no shampoo or hairdryer. Would definitely stay there again!"
The Irish Inn
"Extraordinarily clean, with exactly the right amenities. Cute, cozy, and quiet, with beautiful grounds. Would stay here again. Great value, kind host."
Westcliff Lodge
"What a beautiful place to stay. The grounds were stunning and the staff was wonderful."
Riverview Lodge
"Rooms were *more* updated than in the photos. We enjoyed our stay, and every member of the staff we interacted with was very kind."
Skamania Lodge
"I'm so glad my husband and I stopped at Skamania Lodge on our journey homeward. First, the not so great: Our room wasn't ready when we arrived at 4:15 and wouldn't be ready for another hour. A great thing is that we were given vouchers for the bar and enjoyed a spectacular view as we sipped our wine. One more not so great: I am hyper sensitive to chemical room fresheners and sure enough, there was one. The great thing is that the bed was comfortable so I slept well despite the odor. And more greatness: There were so many staff members who were all very friendly and helpful."
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Hood River by IHG
"Great place"
Cousins Country Inn
"Check in was easy and staff was helpful. Room was clean, bed was comfy and shower was hot. I would recommend to others."
Hood River Hotel
"Nice creaky old noisey hotel. It's wonderful. Great location. Nice staff. Biggest drawbacks are no included parking or breakfast. Both are available but just not included."
