I am a regular guest at this property and when I checked in later than usual, the staff sent a text to see if I had any difficulties checking in. That's service. This is the only property in town, but Trail Inn doesn't act like it. They offer a good night's rest in a comfortable setting at a reasonable price.

Cold air conditioning was fantastic on such a hot day. The building is a little old, but well kept and it was a comfortable stay. Upon arriving you have to use a touch screen to check in. Your key gets released from a box on the wall! Pretty high tech, I thought! I was able to talk to a live person on video screen too. The first room, 102, that I was issued smelled strongly of men’s cologne, so the lady kindly gave me a diff room, with no problem, and that next room was fine. I’d definitely stay there again. Price was super reasonable at $81.

Automated check-in (no front desk) worked well. Room was very clean and well appointed. Walking distance(paved path) to cute coffee shop (Fika); next door to Casey’s. Excellent value compared to options in Red Oak AND this motel allows pets. Would stay here again.

Room was very clean, beds comfortable. Pleased with the size of the room, however bathroom very small. Shower was great. The only thing I would suggest is that there are no safety bars to hold onto in the shower for getting in and out. I purchased a portable bar as I was very unsteady with nothing to hold onto. Parking was a bit limited, and parking lot very rough. Only saw staff one time, but she was very courteous and always asked if we needed anything. When we did, it was taken care of promptly. Looking forward to staying here next year when we travel to see the Glen Miller Festival. Great experience.
