I was extremely stressed and disgruntled by the staff here. On checking in, i was informed that they were overbooked, like an airplane and that i was obliged to stay at the hotel on the other side of the stattion, not the same one. They then asked me to pay even though I told them I had already paid online, the employee didnt even check to see if i was right she just said I hadnt paid so I gave her my card. On checking myself that night, i had in fact paid as 500 euros was gone from my account. Wheni went to ask for a refund I didnt get a single explanation or apology, just a ok and lots of waiting, wasting precious time. When I asked for a voucher for my troubles they said they could give me breakfast even though it was already included in the other hotel they moved me to and when i said this was bad service they shrugged and said no can do. Im not usually an angry person but actually on checking out of the other hotel, holiday inn express, which the unpleasant staff assured me was all paid for, the holiday staff said that i needed to pay again!!! Three times i was asked to pay for my stay. Its the 21st century. Its npt that hard to use the effing internet and coordinate. The staff at the Holiday inn kept asking me for proof of payment like the blame laid with me...i do not recommend this hotel or the holiday in and it accounted for 90% of bad memories in amsterdam, of which there were few.
