I rented a Standard Double Room for one week. It was spacious, but the bed was not a double but two twin mattresses. The decor was contemporary without evidence of wear. I had plenty of hot water and amenities.
Only two members of the staff speak good English. I called for laundry service and the woman was at my door for the laundry within five minutes. The second time, it took two days and three requests.
My first night there, a group had rented the kitchen out and neither dinner nor room service was available. I felt this was very unprofessional and discriminatory to the rest of the customers.
When I ordered room service, the first woman responded, "I do not speak English." and stayed on the line as if I would magically start speaking Russian. I had to ask "Can you please get someone that speaks English?" The next woman that answered did not either, set the phone down and walked away. I sat there for ten minutes listening to people talk in the background, then hung up and called the front desk. I called three times over 20 minutes without response.
The staff often had nothing to do but stand around and talk to each other. What was discomforting was when they would stare impolitely at guests as they sit or walk through the lobby.
I was told when I checked in I could put meals on my room account and pay when I checked out. The first time I got breakfast, they made me pay cash.
I had a friend come visit and was treated very rudely but the front desk staff.
