Poor Customer Service
We really wanted to like this hotel. The location is very good and the pool and garden area is lovely but the customer service left a lot to be desired.
We were given a new room which would have been lovely if it was finished. We were told we were the first guests in the room which you could tell as the room had not had a final clean after construction and was not completely ready. The floors still had paint and glue spots, tiles in the bathroom dusty, stickers and writing still on windows, TV not connect connected to antennas and, worst of all, no blinds or curtains on the windows.
When we questioned this the staff seemed to just blame everyone else without trying the fix the problems. When we insisted on at least some sort of window covering so we could sleep they tried to put on sheets on the windows which didn’t work. They then sticky-taped paper to the windows which kept falling off until I suggested using stronger tape than just sticky tape.
The staff were always blaming someone else without apology or any recognition that this situation was unacceptable to a guest or offering any form of compensation (not even a free breakfast).
The curtains finally arrived on our 4th and last day.
