Quirky friendly hotel worked for us!
We were in St Augustine for just one day and night so wanted to stay in the heart of the historic district. Location and reasonable rates brought us here. The Pirate Haus Inn is in a very old building, which shows its age. The Inn is a labor of love, run by a friendly staff who really love their life there. We were met our front by Kathy to introduce us to the Inn. Our room was more than comfortable for the two of us. Basic toiletries provided. The complimentary breakfast is available by signing up the night before and served in the communal kitchen. Our pancakes made by Jenny were delish! We paid the small nightly fee to park near the Inn. An interesting experience in a lovely historic downtown!

Fantastic affordable option downtown
Loved this place! It is right in the middle of downtown, you can walk to everything. They have an option for nearby parking for a reasonable fee or free parking in garage a few blocks away. It's operated like a B&B and the staff is great. It is a historic building, not fancy but eclectic, fun, clean, comfortable.

I read enough reviews that I knew exactly what to expect (which fit our needs perfectly!) and then the over-the-top friendly service, meeting Jenny, was a pleasant bonus! She was so welcoming and made our one-night adventure so worth it! Location was perfect, and my 11-year old daughter and I loved the room, treasure hunt and pancakes for this special mother-daughter getaway. She was begging to stay longer. Felt bad I forgot to carry cash on us to leave housekeeping tip like the courteous thing to do.

Great location right in the heart of the historic area. Very friendly staff and easy check in process. It’s a no frills place so if you want more comforts of home and plan to spend lots of time in the room- this isn’t the place for you. It’s an old building and noise carries easily. The only issue to point out would be the bathrooms, they do need a bit of a makeover. Location is great and they provide afforable parking right behind the property.
