Great stay at Fox Glacier
Booked Mt Cook View Motel and due to road closures from adverse weather meant we couldn't make the booked date. Spoke to Matthew at the Motel who was very helpful and provided updates to road closures. We managed to move the booking to a later date and arrived to find a very helpful Matthew and well appointed accommodation. Matt pointed out some key activities to make the most of our stay which we followed and which provided some good memories of our stay at Fox Glacier including some awesome views of the glacier. Matt also booked us for a heli flight but unfortunately the weather the next morning wasn't that helpful. With Matt’s help, we had a great stay at Mt Cook View Motel and Fox Glacier including a great meal at Betsey Jane’s.

Cozy and clean.
We arrived quite late, so although the office was closed there was a notice with my name on it with instructions on how to access the room. The room was clean and comfortable. A cozy spot to rest for the night. Would be a comfortable stay if we were here longer.

i think the hotel in this area are all relatively old but only staying for a night is fine. the bathroom is very new while the bedroom is relatively old. the only supermarket / store close quite early so we buy some basic stuff to cook in our room. the location is very convenient for our next day heli hike.

Comfortable motel near Fox Glacier
Room was comfortable with plenty of space for three of us. View of Mt Cook could be seen from the front, but had better going down the road to reflection island. The location is a little further out of town, so we did need to drive 5 minutes for dinner. But the place was comfortable, and would stay their again if in the neighbor hood. Plenty of activites to explore.

Such a fabulous location with a view to Mt Cook and Mt Tasman and the other smaller snomy mountains. Very spacious place with some unique features like a dial with a pin for the shower

We only booked it because the Expedia listing showed a seasonal pool open 9am-7pm. Imagine our surprise when there was no pool. False advertising should not be tolerated by your company. Shame on the property owners for not caring what we were expecting or even trying to do anything to. Rectify

The place is ok. It feels clean. It may be the farthest motel from town with a little more than a mile. It provides basic bathroom stuff, a towel per person and shampoo. It did not have body washer and other amenities.

The great part about this property is its location, far from the hustle and bustle and in a very quiet area where once can blend with nature and see the terrific night sky. The rooms were large, beds and pillows comfortable and the heating worked well. However, there was no one on call either at the office nor on phone which needs to be corrected. Some items in the bathroom and room were non functional.

Great location with a great view. Unit kitchen was well stocked with equiptment to cook a meal. Kitchen, bedrooms and lounge were nice and clean but bathroom let the place down. Toilet stunk of stale urine and in desperate need of a proper scrub and disinfect.
