After enduring a 10-hour car ride, we were excited to check in, shower, and go to bed. However, our enthusiasm quickly dissipated upon entering. The entire establishment felt worn-out and outdated, lacking the charm and sophistication we had anticipated.
Despite booking the family room, which boasted four beds, we were dismayed to discover that the bathroom and toilet were without doors. This lack of privacy and hygiene standards left us feeling cramped and uncomfortable, questioning the adequacy of the accommodation.
Despite our exhaustion and the absence of alternative lodging options or access to Wi-Fi for booking, we made the difficult decision to leave. The riad, managed by only one elderly gentleman, gave off more of a hostel vibe than the upscale riad experience we had hoped for.
We share our experience not to dwell on the negative, but to caution future guests. Everyone deserves a comfortable and pleasant stay, and unfortunately, this riad did not meet those expectations. We sincerely advise others to explore alternative accommodations in Marrakesh.
