The Sir Athens is a great little boutique hotel, with a good level of facilities , style, and staff who clearly demonstrate a high standard of customer service. All of the check in, and other communications are efficient, clear, and timely. The hotel effectively operates as a stand alone venue with self service check in, without any staff on site. This didn’t cause us any concerns as the area immediately around the hotel feels safe. As a result of this model you only see a few staff at breakfast and at reception of the sister hotel the Flair. This isn’t really an issue ( you either love it or hate it), but all staff are friendly and helpful when you do see them and contact details are always stressed at every communication. Even the housekeeping staff will stop and say a cheerful hello which clearly shows staff who enjoy what they do.
My only issue would be a very small matter about personal information. When you arrive, instructions are given for you to complete a form( your registration). However, this form remains on an desk in reception, in full view for other residents . I would suggest creating a locked post box for the form once completed if collection isn’t immediate. I would like to mention the specific staff on reception at the Flair and the waiter that served us breakfast. All were charming, courteous and very helpful. This made our stay so much more enjoyable. Thank you.
