Very pleasant stay. I was surprised by the quality for the moderate price. Staff was friendly, room was nice. I had a nice two-night stay.

Avoid this location!
The staff was not friendly or helpful. The room was stiflingly hot when we arrived and it took hours to cool down. The room smelled of smoke even though the hotel was supposed to be non-smoking. The room was old and shabby. The sliding door wouldnโt close all the way and was rigged with a latch instead of being fixed. There was a homeless guy sleeping in the hall downstairs. The โbreakfastโ was very limited and didnโt open on time either of the days we were there and the staff harassed my husband about being there on time. We will not be back.

Howard Johnson customer service was terrible!!
Beware Neil was extremely rude and unprofessional and the room was dirty. I would never go back.

NEVER AGAIN! What a shame!
We were suppose to stay for two nights due to an event my daughter was having. The room was filthy. There was mold on the ceiling and a live roach in the bathtub. The chair in the room was broken and the carpet was stained and moist. It was the most uncomfortable stay. So much so we lost money and decided to leave a night early. We left immediately after the event. We would rather drive an hour and a half back to comfort than spend another night. I had to buy cleaning products to bleach the bathtub just to shower for the night. When we walked out, there was a half eaten sandwich laying on the banister. Very unsanitary stay. I told the host we were not happy, he commented but you have two nights and it is already paid. I responded we were not happy or comfortable with the room. No efforts to remediate or discount or refund our money. DISGUSTING! The reviews were different on the site I booked the stay. If I had gone directly to the website, I would have known better. NEVER AGAIN!!!!
