Nice motel right of the Interstate. We were in a river view room which had a balcony with a couple of chairs. Unfortunately, it was a little chilly for sitting outside, but it would have been nice for relaxing after a long day's drive otherwise. There was also a nice picnic area down by the river below. Also, staff responded promptly when we had a problem with the TV.

We had a 2nd floor room with a view overlooking the garden and the river which made for a very pleasant happy hour on the deck after a day’s travelling. A ten minute walk to downtown provided several options for an evening meal. Our only negative would be that the breakfast was limited and the breakfast room very small making it really necessary to take breakfast back to your room. Trays available to do so would have been a help.

We always stay at the Riverfront Inn in Roseburg. They have lots of pet-friendly rooms, the location on the Umpqua river is lovely, rooms are superbly maintained, with all necessary accommodations and the staff is always extremely friendly. Never any need to look for another motel on the way to California, or back!
