Beautifull location and views, the food and beverage staff were amazing with great attitude and service but really disappointed with the resort being marketed as a 5 star property when they definitely don't have the level of attention and service to be but a 4 star. From the moment we arrived at the Male airport the reception by the hotel staff was terrible not guest service at all just asked us if we were coming to the hotel and to wait on the side (The presence of the staff wasn't the best to said the least) and them the arrival to the island airport was very much the same, staff just asked you if you were coming to the hotel and to leave your bags there and jump in a bus, them get down from the bus and jump in a boat, again all these steps happen without anyone welcome you or explaining to you the process in a matter expected for a 5 star hotel. Them you arrive to the hotel pier, and you have one person giving cold hand towels and another one giving you old half empty plastic glasses with warm juice and asked everyone to seat on a waiting area so that one staff can barely explain the resort information to everyone and send you out on a golf cart packed with people to your rooms. Again, until now NOTHING of all these steps were even close to a 5-star experience. We arrive to the room and the mini bar consisted of 4 old bottles of vodka, gin, tequila and something else and an office style fridge with couple of sodas a big water bottle and 2 beers. I could keep explaining!!
