Ok stay, wouldn't stay again
Overall it was an ok stay, but we would not stay again. We arrived around 10pm. The guy at the gate was talking to us as if we were some crooks trying to enter the hotel. All the staff were very nice except that one guy. We had to go through him another night and his attitude was the same. The room was clean, but worn down. Our room showed kitchen sink in the picture, but we didn't have one. If you want your room cleaned or need extra towel, soap... you have to send the front desk a whatsapp message. I didn't have a problem with that, but I was told someone would bring the stuff in 15min. It took them almost an hr after me following up 3 times. The safe ran out of battery and took them a day to fix it. Glad it didn't happen on our checkout day. The restaurant is separate from the hotel they say. We went for breakfast the 1st morning and loved the breakfast, but we decided not to go again because they told us their wifi was down and we had to pay cash. I1st fell for it, then I noticed the Spanish speakers are paying card and none spanish speakers are paying cash. So as he was charging a card I went up and asked to get charged on the card. Right in front of me another guy disconects the wifi. The guy runs my card and of course it doesn't work and he says sorry no wifi cash only. So i said sorry no cash, I will wait until your wifi comes back. 20min later he comes back and says ok wifi is working. We decided not to eat there again just for that.

Good for a short stay
Our room was basic but clean and we had an amazing view of the sea and the beach from our room. There was a small shop in the hotel area but not that much else within walking distance although it's easy to get a bus or an Uber.

Would not recommend this hotel.
The place was very dated. Tv was only usually with Netflix. No phone in room. Bed was comfortable but only had a sheet on it. AC was poor, room was hot. I was glad it was only a one-night stay. I think the description on Hotels.com was very misleading. Im handicapped and had stairs in and out of my room. It was difficult to get my mobility scooter out by myself.

I have been going to Cancun hotel zone and Playa del Carmen since 1987. I have seen these areas grow over the years into vibrant flourishing vacation destinations. In the past I have stayed in all-inclusives and Airbnbs. I loved staying at the Bsea Cancun Plaza. The location of the hotel on a beautiful stretch of beach and the pool views was top notch. Every morning I watched the sun rise and the ocean glistened with the rays of the sun from my balcony. My room was big with a king sized bed and kitchenette area. It was very clean the walls looked like they had been recently painted. The property is a older old but well kept. Staff was always working on the grounds and make renovations to rooms. The food in the restaurant was good. Fernando the waiter was so sweet and very gracious. In fact all the staff was very nice and helpful. I would highly recommend staying here at this property. The bus stop was a few feet down making transportation easy and accessible. I would gladly stay at this hotel again and again. The beach was fabulous!!!

The menu is very limited and service staff is not efficient nor pleasurable.. all Grumpy old men serving the tables.. the ocean view deserves better..more ambient.. pleasurable service staff and good menu..would make the experience much more pleasurable since only limited reataurants nearby..

BSEA CANCUN PLAZA
The view from our room was incredible. Good size room. Very small bathroom. Good wifi in room with its own router. Bed was a bit hard. Did have opening doors and windows to the beach views just no balcony or patio. The cleanliness was a little off. From the surface looked good but dis have a gritty feel on the floor and made feet bottoms black. The tv in our room was very difficult to use plus very small for the space. The complex is all condos so no uniform amenities due to a lot being individually owned and rented out by the resort for them. Restaurant down by pool was amazing had great food and drinks. Did not try breakfast there. Amazing pool and beach front access. Nice secured facility which also was a little hassle getting in or out. The beach is nice but being able to swim is a bit sketchy due to the rocky bottom and also if you do walk up and down the beach towards the wayer in bare feet there is so many sea shells and broken sea shells that it is very rough on the feet. But absolutely beautiful. During our stay the turtles were coming in every night to lay eggs so in the morning you could see the tracks of them. Overall it was a decent stay for the cost.

The ocean is exceptional blue beautiful water but the most you can do is get feet and knees wet swimming in this area could be dangerous a good 2 miles along the hotel is covered with in rocks waves are strong and easily can fall at the first attempt, so if you have in mind going swimming like we did, forget about it is almos imposible to do it besides the red flag is always standing on… very disappointing not being able to in the water, they don’t mention this at all cero kids friendly from my point of view… hotel has a nice size pool but dirty on the edges…beds are hard and so small didn’t enjoy sleeping at all there, and have to share balconies with next door neighbors…they said no smoking allowed in the premises but saw many people doing it… Staff are very nice!! El mar esta hermosa agua azul, pero si tienen pensado ir nadar ahi piense dos vences ahi es casi imposible nadar hay demasiadas rocas a lo largo de la playa nunca vi una persona nadando, siempre esta la bandera roja puesta y eso no dice en la descripción, en mi opinión no es playa segura para nadie menos para niños… La alberca es de buen tamaño pero sucia en las orillas… Camas estan muy duras y pequeñas fue muy incómodo dormir ahi, los balcones se comparten con el vecino de lado. Esta prohibido fumar pero mucha gente lo hace Los empleados son muy amables!

We rented a double Suite (2 levels) with the stairs inside the room being too steep and narrow making it very difficult to go up or down, specially with luggage. The view to the ocean were really good!

The rooms were what I expected it was old but it was good enough for me and my husband we enjoyed the deck and the pool was really nice and the restaurant and bar was great to have ! The only problem was that when the people beside us left there sliding door open all night it made a sound all night being sucking noise on the adjoining door! Other wise if you go knowing and expecting everything that was said on line you can enjoy the beach and the pool!

The pool was great, although they did close it early 9pm. They could do a better job cleaning up the large rocks on the beach as well as all the sea grass. The beach was dangerous and we did get cut up due to the large rocks. TVs don’t work, and the internet is unavailable in rooms and it’s very weak in the common areas.

Nice location, pool and beach steps away. Quiet and safe area, public bus right at the front of hotel. Bery nice staff from security, front desk and all the people are very polite. Building needs upgrades and tv not working, but our room 2514 is very neat and always clean. Aircon is very nice and cold. We enjoyed our stay.
