I checked in, after booking an executive suite, to walking into my basic room. I paid extra for a suite so my parents could stay with us. The hotel employees who checked me in for my stay did not even tell me that they had to switch my reservation or offer me any money back.

Started off not finding my reservation. In town for a wedding, so they sent me up to my brotherโs room. I knew it was not my room because his name was on the TV. First clue to leave fast. The lobby was strewn with sheets of drywall but thatโs ok a teddy bear in a construction helmet told me to understand they are under construction. I inhaled so much drywall dust and itโs Thursday. I have been home for three days and have not had a clear breath.
Charged full freight, no discount for Hiltonโs reno. Worst experience since adulting, and I am 62.

Room is adequate; however none of the electrical outlets/USB ports worked on the bedroom lamps. Minimal place to plug in.
Hairtie from previous guest on floor by bed.
Under renovation.

We stay at this hotel twice a year for some time now. The area is safe and the hotel is clean which are my 2 priorities. The pillows are too soft but housekeeping brought me a firmer pillow solving the problem. The dining area is under construction which happens. The first day breakfast was ok, the second day it was minimal. My husband and I went out for breakfast. My only real concern since the dining area was a few tables, perhaps the conference room could have been used. There were only 4 tables and the first morning someone was sleeping at one of the tables. I tried to wake him and was unable. This left only 3 tables with multiple people waiting for seats. Perhaps the conference room would have cleared this up.

Great location right off of 30 (if one is exploring York, Lancaster or surrounding area). Construction was happening but the staff was SO friendly that made up for it. The room itself was perfectly comfortable.

Linens were clean and there were plenty in the room. Bedding was clean and bed was comfortable. The hotel was undergoing renovations, so some things couldn't be helped. However, we reserved a King suite and were given a Queen Suite. The couch was well worn and in poor condition. There was a hole in the bathroom wall, covered by an extra flap of wall paper. The continental breakfast was the worst we experienced during our vacation, which included 4 different hotel stays. Cold cereal, prepackaged breakfast sandwiches; the toaster was on the check-in counter and there was seating for 8 guests in chairs that were extremely worn. One flavor of yogurt only, and hard danishes. We've stayed at this hotel in the past and the experience was opposite, which is why we reserved a room there again. Our next visit to York will likely include a stay elsewhere.

Stayed here many times but this trip was a little inconvenient with the renovations going on. Booked online and didnโt know the hotel was doing construction.
