After an unpleasant start to the holiday at Cancun airport and a stressful check-in at the Krystal Grand hotel, Janer from Expedia contacted us on Whatsapp. And we are really grateful for that, because he made a difference. Janer helped us with upgrading, booking restaurants, ordering balibeds and answered all our questions. Janer helped us with an upgrade to Exclusive Altitude. Huge difference. Better rooms, better beds, a bigger bathroom, espresso machine and cozy breakfast - simply better comfort.
We would rate room nr. 1225 to 9 out of 10.
Improvements could be:
- more hooks in the bathroom for towels.
- Possibility to hang (swim) clothes to dry on the terrace
- Less noise from the surrounding aircon.
The hotel has various a la carte restaurants, so you don't have to eat in the (not so good) all inclusive buffet. We liked the Japanese restaurant the most, where Eduardo was our favorite waiter. He is attentive and a really funny guy.
On the beach, the hotel has "Bali beds" that everyone can buy daily access to. We recommend this, as the hotel's other booths seem very worn.
We feel well treated by David. He is attentive and has the beach under control. David often checks in with the guests and makes sure everything is okay.
At two beach bars, sweet waiters toke good care of us. We would like to highlight Roberto. He is so polite, learns quickly and and has a lot of potential. (hold on to him!)
