The Sherry is a great hotel in a wonderful location. Staff is extremely friendly. We'd leave in the morning to go for breakfast and place the room service sign on the door. When we'd return an hour or so latter, the room had been cleaned and made up. Wonderful service including personal touches. Hand-written notes, welcoming gift and fresh flowers. A wonderful stay.

I liked everything about this hotel. Reception was most helpful, loved the special manned elevators and the room had everything I could possibly need - from kettle to an especially wide assortment of toiletries.

Gorgeous old world style. Small but super elegant. Old world amenities like an elevator man and footmen everywhere. Such warmth from all staff. Room was large for nyc standards and bed was amazing. Lots of little touches. Would gladly stay again and price point was way lower than the plaza across the street where I have stayed plenty - would choose sherry n over it any day. Thanks!!!

Pros: GREAT location. Cannot beat the access to the park. The building is beautiful and historic and employees helpful. The room is stocked with basic drinks that are free and freely restocked. Cons that would likely prevent me from staying again. The gym is very small and not useable when there are more than a few people. Gym is really important to me so if that’s not a thing for you count yourself lucky. Second, the elevator system is charming and all, but having to wait for an elevator operator at all times to go up or down is wildly inconvenient. Lastly, we had no hot water in our room. Sadly I didn’t have time to ask them to fix it and didn’t have the energy to have to move rooms with a kid (and all their stuff) in tow. So could it have been fixed, yes very likely, but a crazy inconvenience at this price point.
