We stayed at Sun Peaks on our way from Calgary to Vancouver. Our stay was over Thanksgiving weekend. Sun Peaks village is a beautiful self contained resort village. The Grand Hotel is in the middle of all the shops and restaurants. Because of Thanksgiving weekend, some places were closed, but there was not a shortage of restaurants or shops to entertain you for the weekend. The Grand Hotel was beautiful, staff very friendly and helpful. Our room was beautiful and clean, lovely sheets, very comfortable bed and pillows! The living room was cozy with a comfy couch and fireplace.
We ate at the on site restaurant, Mantles and it was unbelievably good. The menu had something for everyone, from dinner entrees to a hand held and pizza selection. We ordered entrees and salads and they were amazing. We would have eaten there the following night, but we took a nap and over slept, lol!
We would without a doubt return to Sun Peaks if we are in this area again. It must be incredible here during peak seasons!
