Staff was very kind, very helpful, and the facility was clean and functional. It's an Econo Lodge, so I know what I'm likely to get and I got what I was expecting. Pros: The pool and hot tub were clean and the perfect temp, the shower head pressure will absolutely wash off a day of tubing or hiking, the towels were really soft, it's conveniently located, and the beds were comfortable. Cons: the toilet was *extremely* loud and we found some boxed snacks that were left behind the microwave by the last guest. My biggest complaint outside of the toilet was that the area by the sink is carpeted so there's not a great place to hang swim stuff to dry. we put everything in the sink while we took a shower, but the water closet is super tight so we could hang up one thing if we didn't want the rest of the floor getting wet and the carpeted floor (which got wet coming in from the pool, getting out of the shower) stayed wet. Value for money was pretty good, may or may not stay again because of the toilet noise and the forever wet floor. I'll also note that it was a bit loud as it's right next to the highway, but that would likely be the case anywhere along that strip!

We had a great time from the entrance to the end. The pool was nice and warm due to the weather being cold outside it was perfect the hot tub was great and the room seem to be a newly renovated so it was great we slept like babies

The room was old and moldy. The worst part was the cockroaches in the breakfast room crawling on the tables as we were trying to eat our food. We threw the food out and left and I still feel sick to my stomach! Never will we stay there again!

Started with check in. We booked a 2 Queen room, we received all double beds. Says the ran out. When I asked about it the manager mouthed off and said you can check out and get a refund. Knowing there wasn’t anymore options. We had a plugged toilet one of the rooms and I called down and he said you can come get a plunger. Had to shut the water off and when we did the water leaked from the shut off valve the whole time. No maintenance person. Our room had mutilple leak spots and when the rain started last night it started leaking again. Had to listen to it leaking and dripping on ceiling all night and morning. The ceiling in the hallway was torn out and left that way. Had items stolen from one of the vehicles while we were there. Comforter in multiple rooms had cigarette burns in them. The worst stay at a hotel without a question.

It was not bad for the price. Mold on the shower celing could of used vacuuming in the room and stain on the sheet around waist area. Not sure what that was. No bugs at least.

Este es el peor lugar donde me he quedado , hicimos booking en el mismo día porque no fue un viaje planeado y fue lo que pudimos encontrar por $150 la noche, pero todo mal con la instalación , el cuarto muy sucio, pelos y manchas en la sábanas, el baño horrible de sucio , habían cucarachas y chinches apestosas en el cuarto , en el techo del cuarto había un agujero muy grande que les causaba miedo a los niños y para decir verdad hasta a mi me causó miedo , mi familia y yo no pudimos descansar nada por el miedo a los bichos y el mal también que había en el lugar y el desayuno muy malo todo , un galón de leche para que todo el mundo se sirviera , muy poco higiene para no decir nada . Y para hacer check out ni siquiera había una persona en front desk para poder poner tus quejas .

The room wasn't completely clean. It was stained and holes on the bedding sheets. The sheets smelled like grease. The front lady was amazing but the guy was rude. Breakfast was awful. You get what you pay for it, unfortunately. In a really busy area you expect a better service.

Was given a non-smoking room that obviously had been smoked in. Bedspread had cigarette burn holes on it. Mgr was rude when I requested a room change. Got new room with newer amenities. Rest of stay went great.

This was a last minute decision, but still a regrettable one. My girlfriend and I needed some away time...time away from the kids, time away from the grandkids, and time away from just plain being adults! I rated this hotel poor due to the quality of the rooms. Nothing is up-to-date, the rooms are in poor condition, and the beds are absolutely the cheapest, lowest quality mattresses they could have possibly found. I have slept on mats in jail that were more comfortable than the mattress in our suite. The hot tub in our suite was also nasty! We did not even attempt to use it due to how dirty it was. We were disturbed half the night with drunks arguing and fighting, and they said nothing about the fact that they had teenagers drinking vodka in the pool area! The only good thing about our stay was the pool. Although it was not the cleanest area around the pool, the water itself was clean and well heated, and the hot tub was also perfect temperature. I would rate this a 2 star! If not for the pool being warm and hot tub being hot, it would most certainly be rated a 1 star!! We will not be coming back to the Econo-lodge, ever! My personal recommendation....pay the extra to stay at the Holiday Inn just up the road, much higher quality and 100x more comfortable!! Do not reserve a room here, I promise you will regret it as much as we did!!

Our stay was horrible. We arrived late, just as we specified in our reservation, and when we got there, the reception was closed. We called multiple times at the numbers listed, and no one answered. We had to spend the night in our vehicle, and it wasn’t until 8:30 a.m. the next morning that we were able to check in. When I complained about having to sleep outside, the man’s attitude was disappointing. Upon entering the non-smoking room, the smell of cigarette smoke triggered a severe allergy and an asthma attack. Not to mention the filth — hair everywhere, a disgusting bathroom, and a bed where you could feel the springs. Our experience was terrible. I give it a 0 out of 100.

A group of us (3 couples) rented rooms at this hotel for 2 nights. 2 of the couples booked their stay off of the direct site and I booked mine off of Expedia. The 2 that booked off of the direct site showed up and there were no reservations for them in the system. I will give props to the guy working the desk. He did price match for the price they originally booked their room for. I encourage you to double check what hotel you are renting because Bugetel Inn and Econo Lodge pull up under the same address. When we walked in the main lobby, it smelt like straight sh*t. The guy at the desk said there was issues with a pipe. We had arrived at check in but our room was still not ready until after 4pm due to only 1 housekeeper. The hot tub did not work while we were there. Breakfast was very limited: microwave breakfast sandwiches, cereal and muffins. Exterior look rough like i dont think its up to code. Room: I pulled an extra blanket out of the draw and it appeared to have dried food on it. Our sink and shower when initially turned on had brown water coming out. One of our friends room had a mystery stain on the top blanket on the bed. I will never stay here again. Helen is a charming town but I should have chosen somewhere else to stay for this trip.
