This hotel was a perfect Sicilian treat, architecture, was amazing a 750 year old home, turned into a small
hotel and private apartments. We arrived by cab after a very long flight at 22:00 , we thought we were in the wrong place, neighborhood was a bit scary, a tiny sign no lights, and we didn’t know how to open the door, luckily i had the hotel
# were buzzed in,the owner was very nice, when the door was opened , it was magical, it opened to a court yard with cars and a grand staircase went up 50 steps, to hotel
entrance, the owner helped us with our luggage, this guys gets a work out , the room was very clean, nothing special ikea bed and mattress , so many things to bang your head on in the room, but the room looked into the amazing courtyard, it was quite because it was not on the street. , but very noisy in morning, other guest doors slammed breakfast being prepared ect, but we wanted to get up any way so no problem, the breakfast was served in a beautiful room with a 750 year old mural painted on the ceiling, very special , breakfast was local sweets ,juice and an amazing cappuccino , small sandwiches, which was perfect, i don’t eat breakfast normally. the room was very small and i wish we could have had access to this beautiful room which had a small balcony and view of one of the streets that went to the market, but we were only allowed in for breakfast. That was a bummer it would’ve been nice to have a place to sit and watch Palermo go by.
