Absolutely amazing experience here! My boyfriend and I enjoy traveling, but have always found ourselves staying at overpriced hotels. We decided that we wanted to try something new for once. As hesitant as we were to try a B&B we decided to go for it, we had no idea what we were getting into.. Do we all have separate entrances or something? Do we all share one bathroom? Do I bring the owner a plant? Like how does this go? It definitely went a lot smoother than that.. We were greeted by Carl ( the innkeeper ), with smiles and a warm hello how are you, please come in! We're from Queens, so to get a genuine hello how are you is rather refreshing! His home was so welcoming and traditional, it felt as though you're visiting far away from home and staying with a relative! He was so knowledgeable of absolutely everything! The towns, the restaurants, the most popular areas to see, the olympics.. literally everything you can imagine! He equipped us with booklets that showed us what was in each town, and he was always there to answer any question. Breakfast time was held from 8-9, and Carl was one outstanding chef! He was very attentive, and was great with conversation! You could tell he genuinely enjoyed the company of his guests, and really wanted the best experience for each one of them. I could not thank him enough for being the best host, and cannot wait to return :)

The owner Carl was awesome and attentive. Breakfast was great. Stayed in 1 of the 2 floor suites, had its own living room. Overall great spot, next time we go... staying here, not even goin to look around.

We had a great 2-night stay at the Harvest Moon Bed and Breakfast. The B&B is located in the heart of New Holland. Carl, the proprietor, is friendly and ready to help. He knows the area intimately and can provide historical information and actual personal experience about the museums, restaurants and other destinations. The room we stayed in was clean and nicely furnished. The breakfast is very good. We will definitely stay there again.

There was an issue with my reservation. When the owner learned of the issue with the system he immediately called with options. One of those options was to stay at a nearby B & B that he highly recommended. He made all of the arrangements. I just showed up. I was pleased with the issue was handled, with both owners and their customer service and I would stay at either locations again.

Carl is a fantastic host. Very outgoing and anxious to help out in any way possible. B & B is charming. Very comfortable and well appointed rooms. Bath in the hall would be somewhat inconvenient with a full house, but we were the only visitors for 2 nights. Close to all Amish activities.

GREAT HOST
WE STAYED 2 NIGHTS AND WERE VERY HAPPY WITH OUR CHOICE. WE USUALLY DON'T STAY AT B&B'S BUT WE ARE GLAD WE DID. CARL WAS VERY ACCOMMODATING, COULDN'T DO ENOUGH. HE REALLY KNOWS THE SURROUNDING AREAS SO FIRST TIME VISITORS WOULD FIND THIS VERY USEFUL. FOOD WAS EXCELLENT AND DIFFERENT, FRESH PICKED FIGS ONE MORNING. IF YOU APPRECIATE STEPPING BACK IN TIME THIS IS YOUR PLACE.

Cozy B&B Inn
This was our 1st experience staying in a Bed & Breakfast Inn. Carl is the owner and he delivers outstanding service! Rooms are very cozy, beautifully decorated and breakfast is superb. Loved everything about our stay and will definitely stay here again if we are ever in the area again.

Convenient and close to everything.
Carl is the inkeeper introduced himself right away, he is very friendly and a world of information about hot spots in the area, I really enjoyed my stay in his bed and breakfast a quiet little town and close to everything that is available. We had a delicious breakfast and also you have access to snacks, whenever available. So whenever you are in the area and need a quiet place away from the hectic city consider Harvest Moon. You will not be disappointed. :)

New Years in Lancaster
We had a really nice stay. The owner was extremely friendly and accommodating. On New Years Eve the owner conducted a murder mystery with all the guests which was a lot of fun.

The host and chief were very accomadating. The room was clean but traffic noise and volume was an issue. Our bathroom was in the hallway but managable.

too much stuff, too little comfort
Not just furnished with antiques - crammed and cluttered with assorted old stuff, without any overall style or taste, as though the owners bought up everything they could get their hands on at yard sales and flea markets, and just piled the stuff everywhere. I stayed in the "Cortland Room." The "Cortland Room's" bathroom was across the (shared) landing from the bedroom (requiring much locking and unlocking of doors, and putting a bathrobe and slippers on every time I got up to use the toilet during the night, with a lot of embarrassed tiptoeing across the squeaky, creaking floors), which was not mentioned in the Hotels.com description when I made my booking. In fact, the description said that all their rooms had a desk (not mine, as it turned out) and a coffee maker (not mine), and the tv's received cable channels (not mine). The description should have warned that the Cortland Room's bed was so high off the ground as to make getting on & off difficult for anyone short or old, and that the bed was so hard it was like trying to sleep on sandbags. Oh, and the bathroom needed a hook for hanging a bathrobe, and a fresh bath rug - I used a spare towel as a rug so I wouldn't be putting my clean bare feet on the old area rug that had been walked on by many shoes. I must say that the owners were very friendly, and Carl did accommodate a special request at breakfast. They tried very hard and want very much to be successful, but I think they need to do more careful examining of the quality of their accommodations, and less haphazard "decorating."
