Before I left for Belize, I was in a dark place. I booked this trip as a last-ditch effort to find some peace of mind, and looking back, it was the best decision I couldโve made. I originally planned to stay somewhere else, but when that resort was fully booked, I landed here insteadโand I truly believe everything happens for a reason.
From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed, safe, and cared for. I met some incredible people who I canโt even call staffโthey felt like friends. Michelle, Wilber, King, Kobe, Tanishaโeveryone was so kind, and once they found out I was traveling solo, they always checked on me. Michelle even helped me find someone to do my hair! Their warmth made my stay unforgettable.
About Hopkins Village:
This isnโt just a place to visit; itโs a place to experience. Everyone smiles at you, everyone is kindโjust make sure youโre kind back. Itโs a humble beachside village full of love, culture, and flavor, and thatโs what makes it special.
A Few Things to Know:
๐น No full-length mirror in my roomโsomething to keep in mind if that matters to you.
๐น The restaurant closes about an hour after check-in (around 4:30 PM), so if youโre arriving late, grab some food beforehand or wait until dinner at 6.
Other than that, this stay was exactly what I needed. If youโre looking for a resort where youโre treated like family, where the people truly care, and where you can reconnect with yourself in a beautiful, peaceful setting, this is the place.
I'd return in a beat.
