Terrible customer service
I booked this room at 7:48am on Friday 13th, October 2017 for the same day. Upon arriving at the hotel, the manager states that she cancelled my booking at 7:50am because there were no rooms available. No apology. Rooms were still listed on Expedia as available. I received no official correspondence regarding this cancellation.I was told by the front desk that they can cancel it on their system but I would need to call Expedia to let them know the situation. I am currently awaiting a refund.
I was offered a comparable room at Half Moon Blue, a hotel across the street but owned by the same people as Bacolet Beach Club. I paid 600TTD for this room (but the invoice I received was for 804TTD, shifty as hell) for one night. I later found out that I wasn't supposed to be charged upfront for this room but receive it in place of the Bacolet Beach Club room.
I waited more than an hour for someone to prepare a room for me at Half Moon Blue. No one notified me when it was ready. I had to keep asking the front desk. The accommodation is not comparable. It is an old structure that smells like varnish. I received a refund for Half Moon Blue LESS a 20% cancellation charge for a room I wasn't supposed to be charged for in the first place.
Everyone at this resort was a disappointment and to date not a SINGLE apology has been made by ANYONE at this facility. Please never even bother booking here.
We left got a room at the Magdalena Grand and received exceptional service.
