I overheard someone say regarding this hotel, “it is what it is” and that sums it up. It’s very dated and therefore the condition of some things isn’t great — some stuff is torn, yellowed, etc and even though the cleaning staff probably cleaned it, it just doesn’t LOOK clean, given its age. Replacing the carpet would give this place a huge facelift. It’s the type of place I would’ve been happy to stay at for a crazy bargain, but given inflation, even an old, grungy hotel is ~$250/night.
The reviews raved about the hot breakfast; I don’t understand. It was perfectly average. It was exactly like any other hot breakfast I’ve had at a hotel — and yes it’s great to have hot breakfast instead of continental, but the other reviews has made me think this one would be exceptional. It’s average. The pool is the best part of this hotel. It too is dated, but we enjoyed. Given all that, I still might stay there again, to stay budget conscious.
