During my stay, I noticed a few areas that could use some improvement. The room's floor had an interesting, albeit disorienting, uneven quality, almost like an optical illusion museum. Unfortunately, there were some issues with the fridge and the hot water supply in the shower, and I also spotted a significant amount of trash on the shoreline.
Inside the hotel, a friendly gecko became an unexpected companion, exploring the ceilings and walls during my three-day stay. While I appreciated the unique touch of nature, I did find the boat rides to Kota Kinabalu city center to be on the expensive side.
On a positive note, the mangrove kayaking experience through the mangrove forest was delightful. The bedsheets and pillows were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast served was delicious. It's important to mention that the policy against bringing outside food was enforced.
I want to recognize the hardworking staff, although it appeared that they might benefit from additional personnel to address the plastic bottles and vinyl trash accumulating on the hotel beach. Overall, with some improvements, this establishment has the potential to offer an even more enjoyable stay in the future.
