My partner and I have just come back from an absolutely wonderful weekend at the Muckrach Hotel. It was to celebrate my partner's 60th birthday, and what a fabulous time we had. The hotel is up there with one of the best. There's such a relaxing, peaceful ambience about the place, everything is of the highest quality and standard. Our room was totally spotless, comfortable, warm and luxurious, couldn't have asked for more. We had an early start on the Saturday, trip up the Cairngorms, the hotel were so accommodating, they set up and early breakfast for us. After a superb day out, how lovely it was to come back to our fabulously warm room to relax before heading out again for the evening. Another thing I would like to mention, arrangements had been made on the Friday night, for Spud the Piper to play for my partner, who was totally chuffed to bits, albeit a little bit embarrassed (he's not one to want to be the centre of attention). The food was so scrummy, choice of drinks, fantastic, I could go on forever. The staff so helpful and friendly. We will most definitely be back. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart to everyone at the Muckrach for making our stay a most memorable one. Bernie

Besonders schön waren Einrichtung und die individuelle und persönliche Betreuung des sehr freundlichen Personals. Auch kleinere Extrawünsche wurden immer umgesetzt. Nicht zuletzt das kleine, feine Restaurant und die gemütlichen "Wohnzimmer" machten den Aufenthalt sehr angenehm.

Everything you imagine when thinking of a high-quality lodge in the Scottish Cairngorms. Staff were welcoming, helpful and attentive. The rooms were kept immaculately clean and were spacious and comfortable. The food was excellent and varied. The location is perfectly situated for short local walks or with easy access to larger munroes and close to a number of distilleries along the Spey River. I’d love to see them add a spa to the site as you’d have no reason to ever leave! I loved my stay here and will look forward to the next time!

Excellent hotel in a beautiful area

Well first and foremost the hotel is beautiful. I was there in winter and it really is spectacular amongst the snow. The rooms were also lovely and had excellent bathrooms. The restaurant was good but not great - the food needs a bit more finesse. That said, the restaurant is almost certainly the best in the area and the wines were delicious. Overall though, it’s

Aardig voor een nacht

Een redelijk hotel in landelijke stijl ingericht. Mijn kamer was te klein, ruimte voor een koffer naast je bed was er net en ruimte voor een bureau was er niet, deze ontbrak dan ook net als een stoel. Dat is waardeloos als je nog een aantal uren moet werken achter je laptop zittend op het randje van je bed. Dit verwacht je niet van een dergelijk hotel, als je zakelijk onderweg bent is dat geen aanrader. Internet was goed. De badkamer ruim, modern en schoon. Het hotel heeft een restaurant, dat is ook de enige mogelijkheid want de omgeving biedt verder alleen rust en natuur. Het ontbijt start pas laat 8.00 en eerder ging niet, zakelijk uiterst onhandig! Verder was mijn koffiekop echt heel vies van binnen en buiten, jammer want verder ziet het er verzorgd uit.

Beautiful hotel in picturesque surroundings. Staff is very helpful and courteous. Beautiful bar to have a cocktail or two. Nice cafe for dining. This hotel feels more like a home than a hotel. It is very charming and beautifully decorated. Living room type spaces for relaxing, reading a book or just having a quiet time enjoying the postcard perfect scenery outside. Room is well appointed with thoughtful amenities to make one’s stay worry free. High end toiletries in the bathroom. We enjoyed our stay here. Parking spaces are plenty too
