Stay was very nice, service was great once checked in and property is lovely. The only issue was at check in. Somehow even though there were 3 people at reception they had to call someone to check us in and we had to wait for that person for more than 20 minutes. We wanted to stay in a palace and it is beautiful. The beds are super comfortable. It is a bit of a walk to restaurants and stores, but we had a rental car and wanted a safe spot to park it. Fortunately, Ubers are easy and cheap from here. The breakfast is the best I've ever had! I would definitely choose to stay here again, so quiet.

The hotel is beautiful and very peaceful. It is located outside of Porto and it’s quite a distance to walk into the city. However, the hotel does operate a free shuttle bus once a day, but book a slot early as it tends to fill up. Alternatively, you can get an Uber for about 6 Euros into the town. The breakfast selection is very good and the food in the restaurant was of a really high standard.
