The rooms have a nice touch and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was okay but nothing special and we had a very unfortunate night where we couldn't sleep until 2am due to a private event which happened in one of the restaurants and the very loud music was extremely disturbing. For that price we expected more.

Staff on reception were fantastic. Breakfast service and food was a little disappointing. However evening restaurant service and staff were great. Noisy will be true of any hotel of this style in Mumbai. I stayed during rainy season. So much plastic and tarpaulin around that it was quite dramatic when the heavy rain fell. Very good area to stay. I would recommend. Spa treatments are als top notch.

Staff at the hotel a were excellent. Hotel is quirky and artsy and has some very nice food and snacks. Location is ideal for sightseeing and leisure activities. There are many bars and restaurants in the area.

Tranquil spot in a bustling neighborhood

This is a nice place! It's clean (saw the cleaning staff in action, super efficient), and the rooms are decorated. Service is good, and they're always trying to offer something interesting. The on-site spa was a great experience, too.

Bang for the Buck & Great location!!! Charming compact hotel in the heart of Bandra. Walking distance to the seaside promenade Carter Rd. Plenty of eateries within walking distance. Right by Olive Bar & Kitchen, a lively night spot. Close to shopping district.

We stayed at Le Sutra on our first night in India. We arrived way before check in time but the friendly staff let us freshen up in the spa and leave our luggage while we went to explore Mumbai. Arindja (not sure on the spelling of her name but the main receptionist) was so accommodating, giving us some tips on getting around and where to buy traditional Indian garments for the wedding we were here for. She’s a gem! We stayed in the Rajas room, it was quirky, clean, and the facilities were great, really enjoyed our stay. Would highly recommend this hotel. Tom & Kirsty

Disappointing to say the least

For a room costing $150, the service and condition of the room was approximately worth $30. I've already tweeted about my experience, but shower and toilet cover broken, sink faucets fixed so that searching for the right angle for hot water is a 20 minute game, front desk unapologetically making guests wait with AC off with outside temperature 31 C. All in all, India's first art hotel was a spectacle in disappointment. Even Shalimar hotel (3 star) did more for me than Le Sutra. When I gave feedback at the front desk, i got no contrition or hurry to make things right, instead i was charged Rs200 for a bag of lays. Great!

Absolutely phenomenal experience! I have to start at the beginning- on arriving, the staff had a welcome drink ready for me before also helping me plan out my stay by recommending places to eat and spa services. The Raja floor I was on, had us in the Yagna room which was gorgeous and full of stories in the design as well as the furniture. They even took the time to tell me a little about the history of the theme. The restaurant in the hotel has a great menu. Room service was impeccable and so was dining at the restaurant itself. The staff were so friendly and quick to help us with personal details and keeping us happy. Everything we asked for was answered with a smile and immediate action. I can not recommend this boutique hotel enough. The location is prime! A quick walk to the sea front and also close to all the major restaurants and bars. If you’re looking for character, luxury and convenience all balled into one- Le Sutra is the place for you.

Upon arrival and checking into my room to discover I had been given a single room with the mattress on a slightly elevated platform. When I went down to reception and informed them I was given the wrong room I was informed my selected room was “on request” and they were full and that was the only room in offer for the 1st night. I produced my email confirmation stating I had booked the Rajas room. They apologised and said there must have been a glitch in the computer system. To compensate me they gave me a coupon for a massage which I accepted. Clearly I would have preferred they honoured the room which I had booked and paid for
