Gurney Bay Hotel, A PARKROYAL PARTNER HOTEL
"All is very good except 1st morning on 11 Aug where buffet breakfast was chaotic with massive of guests. Tables unavailable and food not topped up fast enough. Love the local nutmeg juice served at the lobby daily, which we never will try if not for the hotel effort. Thank you. "
Shangri-La Rasa Sayang, Penang
"The staff were amazing & the room was very nice + clean."
Shangri-La Golden Sands, Penang
"Very family friendly for young families, can be very busy around the pool, staff friendly sometime the service is a little slow, Breakfast the food could be a bit warmer but good variety. The hotel is very clean and well maintained our room was excellent"
Angsana Teluk Bahang, Penang
"Nice hotel"
OZO George Town Penang
"Awesome pool area, great breakfast, super friendly staff, lovely rooms."
Eastern And Oriental Hotel
"This iconic hotel is well located and within walking distance to restaurants and tourist spots and where we stayed at the Victory Annex - fantastic sea views from the suites. Of course the super hot weather would probably deter most people from walking any where and a grab ride costs just a few bucks in your choice of car. The suites are big, ours faced the sea and we had a balcony which made for catching the first light a pleasure when we woke up each morning. The ceilings of the rooms were spectacularly high and the bathroom was almost too big. Really liked the "his and hers" sinks separated by a walk way (so i could clutter mine and hubby could keep his minimalist :D). The breakfast at Sarkies - lots of variety, our favourites were the individually fried plates of char kway teow and the roti canai with your choice of fillings. I would stay again just for the breakfast. Then why 4 stars - for some reason, we could get the AC the temperature we wanted - it was either too cold or not cold enough. Prob our user error. The bath - when we ran the water, it wasn't clear...? The shower was great though. Would i stay again - maybe - we might try the heritage wing to compare. But definitely give it a go - the hotel runs really good deals and includes breakfast and that already makes all the difference."
The Prestige Hotel Penang
"This hotel is beautiful and in a such a good location. Definitely recommend it!"
Hompton by the Beach Penang
"A nice place near the beach, with night market. Price is reasonable."
Cititel Penang
"The rooms was good and comfortable. Nearby shops convenient for foods and massages."

This period offers great value for money for travelers seeking an affordable getaway.

- Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate based on factors like the hotel's location, star rating, and time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates may help you find a better deal on your stay in a George Town hotel. If you're interested in a unique experience, boutique hotels often provide a more personalized touch and can sometimes offer better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we’ll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher end, we’ll suggest alternative dates that could be more budget-friendly.
- Consider your location: Hotels near the city center usually tend to be more expensive, but thanks to George Town's great public transportation, you might discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that still has good connections. If you're interested in exploring alternative, less crowded neighborhoods or even lesser-known nearby cities, you'll often find excellent value for your money. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
