I have never checked out of a hotel early and left money on the table, while checking into another hotel in my life. I'm also not one of those 5 star expectations at 3 star prices. This "hotel" has old pictures, advertises "pool" but that equals billiards. It has paper thin walls, there were bugs in the bed, no wifi in room as advertised, and no hot water. It really appeared to be a long term stay facility. Unacceptable conditions and I feel was severely misrepresented on Hotels.com listing.
I tried to be reasonable, stayed the 1st night and ask for a refund on the unused nights of my 3 night booking (which I had just booked that day). I was blatantly refused even though staff told me it would be okay.
