Sherwood Residence
"We've stayed at this hotel for the past 4 or 5 summers. We really love the staff, location, and this hotel in general. It's a great hotel for families with young children. The rooms are very spacious. It has a full size kitchen with all the plates/cookware you need, as well as a washer/dryer. My kids enjoyed going to the pool often. There is a kid's play room, indoor ping pong table, and an indoor pool table. There's a grocery store across the street (take the exit by the pool for the fastest walk there). Since we drink a lot of water, we asked if we could purchase water from the hotel. They delivered a 19L bottle of water to our room. This saved us from the trouble of purchasing and carrying large bottles of water from the grocery store. Most importantly, the staff is amazing. Ven always greeted my kids by their names. Am did a great job cleaning our room. Minh, Lah, and the rest of the hotel staff were super friendly. When we first arrived at our room, we were greeted with a plate of pastries and a bottle of wine. On the birthday of a member of our group, cake was delivered to our room. That was a nice treat! Overall, we always enjoy our stay here and will definitely stay here again in the future."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Ho Chi Minh City
- Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly time to visit Ho Chi Minh City is during May, June, and September, when hotel prices are lower. To fully enjoy the city’s historical landmarks, cultural sites, and urban experiences, it's recommended to stay for at least 3 to 4 days. This duration allows visitors to explore attractions such as museums, temples, charming cafes, vibrant shopping areas, and delightful dining options. You might find that prices could drop during these months, making it a great value for money for travelers on a budget.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: Hotels.com offers a variety of hotel deals in Ho Chi Minh City. You may discover attractive offers by checking the DealsOpens in a new window section, while the Last-Minute Deals area could help you find discounted rates close to your travel date. To stay updated on flash sales and price drops, enable email alerts or push notifications. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool in the app helps travelers compare hotel prices and amenities, increasing the likelihood of finding a last-minute getaway that fits your needs.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may vary due to factors like the hotel's location, star rating, and time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates in Ho Chi Minh City may help you save on your hotel stay. For travelers interested in unique experiences, boutique hotels may offer a more personalized touch and sometimes better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we’ll inform you if your selected dates are above or below the average price, and if the cost is on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could help you find a better deal.
- Consider your location: Remaining close to major attractions or the city center can offer convenience, although it usually comes with a higher price tag. For more affordable options, consider hotels in neighborhoods a bit further out, which may be more likely to offer budget-friendly rates while still providing easy access to the places you plan to visit. You might also explore independent hotels outside the central area, as they can provide a more authentic and cost-effective experience.
