Give it a swerve...

The service is terrible. They are over charging tourists, pure scam. Its 7 euros for 50cl beer, yet they charge 8 and don't tell customers it is a 1 euro deposit for a plastic glass. I stayed at a&o vienna and the staff and service was fantastic....if this is a franchise, your team at Munich Liam are really letting the brand down....extremely disappointing!

Small rooms, hot without a fan windows opened but would open toward the patio downstairs where people smoked and it would all come into the room, but without the open window it was hot in the room. Loud in the halls at night and the door kept rattling whenever someone down the hall would open their door. Kept us ipyat night. Otherwise it was a convenient location for travel

Good price quality ratio but don't expect comfort

Pricewise good hostel and location for Munich. However as it is a hostel a lot of young teenagers partying until late night which you can hear in the whole building. If you expect a lot of comfort thats def nothing for ya. Considering the price it was worth it. You get what you pay ;)

Its a hostel...its affordable. The staff were friendly and helpful but over run by so many guests so you have to be patient. This hostel is next to 12 sifferent train tracks ao its very noisy...no fans or AC so if its hot plan on cold wet towels at night to help you sleep...the bar, the big screen, vending machines and pizza machine were great additions... there were many many teenagers here during our stay that we're very loud but we have our own teenagers and love kids so it was fine for us but if you don't like kids this would be a problem... I would stay here again next time I'm in Munich but I would make sure that my room did not face the train tracks!

Booked a private 4 bed room. 10 min walk to s-bahn. Service is like not exciting. Rooms are warm. Ordered cleaning the day before, but no cleaning was done. Complained, they said they could give cleaning the day after. I told them its too late because that was the day i was checking out. Why even have a system with room cleaning that doesnt work? Not much to do in the area around hostel, beside 1 Lidl store a few restaurants.

Central - but bring earplugs!! A lot of noice from other guests. Fist at 04:30 PM it was possible to sleep. The breakfast is as expected at a hostel.

We didn’t sleep the two days we stayed and left a day early. The hotel is on the entry to the main train station. You can’t shut the window as there was no ventilation. Your given one small hand towel, beds are awful. Only positive is the breakfast staff was very friendly.

The people you meet are wonderful, but the staff..

I spend 2 out of my 7 nights there. The reception is almost always overcrowded and I waited for 40 minutes to be able to check in. This was due to people also cutting the line with huge tasks that should have waited as well. So after I was standing there with heavy luggage all that time, the lady finally turned her attention towards me, after everyone else has been dealt with already (I was not the last one in line). So turns out if you show up a few days late they cancel your booking, even though you paid for it. This was stated nowhere and if I would have known I wouldn't have waited for checkin. So they assigned me a new bed and told me nothing else. Needless to say, I really felt the warm welcome. So once I arrived in my room I made my bed and everything was great. So I headed to Vienna for 1 day. Coming back my card didn't work anymore and my bed was reassigned. The security was nice enough to guide me to get a new one. All in all, meh. The people I met in my room were wonderful and incredibly kind, but the service, just awful. Shoutout to the security though, you guys are doing a great job

Good stay! Room came with towels and linens. The beds were what you'd expect from a hostel. We stayed during Oktoberfest, so it was a little rowdy. About a 15 min walk to the train station. Not too many food options nearby, but the lobby has vending machines. All day luggage storage is provided.

Title: Disappointing Experience at a&o München Laim We stayed for one night and were quite disappointed. Our twin room wasn’t ready even an hour after the official check-in time. After requesting assistance, we were given another room, but conditions were the same. Confusingly, the elevator had an "out of order" sign but was actually working. As a goodwill gesture, we were offered one coffee in the morning — but when I asked for a second one for my travel companion, they refused. Poor service overall and not a pleasant stay.

Det som var postiv var att det var rent och snyggt. Sängar var sköna att sova i men se till att du får en våningssäng. De hade placerat 2 vanliga sängar i rummet också och jag hamnade första natt i en vanliga säng bredvid nån jag inte kände och det kändes inte bra, så jag bytt så fort jag kunde till en våningssäng.Då fick man iallafall lite privatliv Själva frukosten var okej ,men priset kanske var lite i det dyraste laget. Och det var ganska stimmigt i frukostmatsalen. Wifi var väldigt segt och krångligt att logga in på. Öronproppar är ett måste då de har rum ut mot gatan som är livligt trafikerade nästan hela dygnet

I recommend getting the rooms in the front side of the building, it is quieter. The back side of the building are facing the train rails. It’s very noisy and you cannot sleep with close windows because of the heat in the summer. Unfortunately they don’t have AC. But you can borrow a fan from the reception. Otherwise the room is great and nothing else we can complain.
