We booked expecting a cozy yurt-style bunkhouse, as shown in the listing photo. What we got was a misleading description and a bait-and-switch. Upon arrival, staff ignored us—one was helping someone, the other stared at a screen and didn’t even acknowledge us. When he finally spoke, his exact words were, “I guess I’ll have to help. What can I do for you?”
We were given incorrect directions to our cabin and had to return to the desk for help. The actual cabin was nothing like the listing—it felt more like a horror movie set than a glamping experience. Windows didn’t open, and the area was sketchy. Despite rules against campfires, people were burning fires freely. Staff shrugged it off, saying they “have to man the desk and ranger the areas.” That logic is baffling.
We left after one night, refusing to stay the second. Now we’re being overcharged. This place feels like a scam, not a legitimate business. Renters beware—Yosemite Lakes RV Resort is a money grab, not a getaway.
