The staff was very rude. I inquired about finding parking since there was no parking available in the vicinity, and the attendant very rudely shouted to read the sign which stated "no parking." I just needed to know where to park, he did not need to shout rudely. Poor conditions. Unless you want to get shouted at by a rude man, I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Terrible place to stay. The room smells rotten, I told manager, he said can’t do nothing about it & started yelling at me. Also there was fight in the middle of the night, guy was screaming so loud, very scary. Kitchen and common area living space was kept clean though. It does not smell anywhere else but the room I had with a lady roommate. First time trying it and was a last minute reservation, but never again.

Great location next to a bus station. Just I don’t like the guy that’s managing it kind of mean and rude to us . This place would be fully booked if the manager became more friendly. The hostels is great I met many friends. WiFi works everything is great just needs a friendly manager

2nd time here! you really cannot beat the price, i love this place. thin blankets but nice bathrooms, clean rooms and really flexible with check in and check out. friendly staff; gave me extra blanket and towels when i mentioned how cold i was lol. decent area and lots of parking garages nearby! i’d recommend.

The bed sheets were dirty, room does not look like the picture at all, no space for clothes and other belongings. Tweakers screaming all night nobody came to check in on us. The windows were covered by another unit 😂. What a joke of a place. Avoid at all cost unless u are there just for sleep. Even the bathroom situation is a nightmare. Shared unsanitary bathroom with non isolation from shower to toilet all in one room.

In general, everything was bad. It’s a cheap place, but it’s really neglected and very dirty. The guy at the front desk named Nick was very rude to us. He would raise his voice very easily. Overall, it was a bad experience.

The staff were rude and mean. They did not accept my son’s legal id from the state of Vermont until I got the police and Expedia involved. When we extended our reservation they refused to recognize it saying my son’s dad was not on the reservation (he was). They cancelled our reservation and said they are refunding our $ which I have not seen yet. I had to get Expedia involved again over this. A huge waste of time for a small, ill equipped dump.

I had a wonderful stay at European Hostel in San Francisco and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for clean, affordable, and comfortable accommodation. The hostel was clean, well-maintained, and had a welcoming atmosphere. The dorms and common areas were organized, and the facilities were cleaned regularly. I always felt safe and comfortable during my stay. The highlight of my experience was the outstanding customer service from the Front Desk Manager, Nick. He was incredibly professional, friendly, patient, and genuinely cared about every guest. From check-in to check-out, he went above and beyond to answer questions, provide local recommendations, and make sure everything was perfect. His warm attitude, excellent communication, and willingness to help made a huge difference and truly made me feel at home. The entire staff was courteous and hardworking, creating a positive and respectful environment for everyone.
