First impression of the hotel was that it really did look like a truck stop, especially with its location in an industrial estate, however inside it was actually fairly pleasant with a restaurant and bar either side of the 24 hour reception. The receptionists were very nice, spoke English very well. The hotel rooms are upstairs and fairly large, have a serviceable bathroom with shower and WiFi that's just about fast enough to watch films on. The area is actually very quiet, probably one of the perks of being on an industrial estate, however, despite being very close to the centre of Hamburg, nothing is very accessible without a car unless you're willing to walk 10-15 minutes for a bus. If you do bring your car there is a car park for it a minutes walk down the road and parking in the centre of Hamburg actually wasn't horrific, we even managed to find a free parking space on a Saturday!
All in all, its a budget hotel without many frills, but you get a private bathroom, parking and it's close to the city centre which is all you really need for a weekend stay.
