The staff is very helpful and very friendly. It's awesome that the room had a oven to use. I do love the 2 bedroom Apartment. Only if there was another TV for one of the rooms. Other than that. This hotel is promising to come back again real soon.

I was only planning on staying a single night but Megan who works there was on it! She was so nice and so helpful and helped me with all of our needs we decided to extend our stay for one more evening. She really knows good hospitality. Thanks Megan.

Excellent location and cute old Beach Motel. Nice 20 minute walk to the ocean in five minute walk to coffee shops and great restaurants. There is a homeless guy who likes to hang out the hotel and others who I don’t think actually have rooms. They seemed harmless and the staff tried to redirect them to other locations, but they were often at the chairs and tables outside.

There were cockroaches in our room, that were not bothered by us being there. So the roaches were used to people. Apparently they are not on any kind of bug deterrent schedule. The room had an unpleasant smell. The toilet gurgled in the early morning from some kind of septic problem. Don’t be fooled by the three stars, it’s definitely not. It’s a dingy not maintained property and although it is inexpensive it’s not worth it. We did not fulfill our reserved three nights, we stayed 1, then took the L and just got another hotel for our remaining 3 night vacation in CA.

5-20 minute walk from pretty much everything in the area. beach, shops, food, and rly interesting thrift/consignment stores. staff was very nice and accommodating!

There was no coffee maker or hair drying in the room. It was great to be able to walking down to the San Clemente pier and eat at the excellent restaurant recommended by the very helpful and knowledgeable staff.

A very charming, nicely maintained unique hotel, that has all the expected amenities. Located in a quiet residential, but central location, within walking distance of many good restaurants and Avenida del Mar, However, making it the rare unexpected gem, was their outstanding and genuinely warm, very kind and helpful staff. No matter what and why, , even after waking them up at 2:00 am, asking them for a new key card again, they asked if I needed help to carry my suitcase back to the room! I just hope management knows what a great bunch of people they pay have hired. I rarely do any reviews because it's all the same except for a noteworthy experience such as the ''Oceana unique boutique hotel"

It was on the ocean side of the freeway and we could walk down to the pier. Building was old not like the pictures on the site. Room was old but it was clean. Staff were nice and helpful.

This is a small hotel in a quiet neighborhood. It is mostly no frills but we liked it and it fit our budget. The manager that checked us in gave us ideas of things to do and places to eat. I will stay again for sure
