We had a wonderful stay at Delphi Lodge. The Lodge itself is beautiful and the surrounds simply amazing. The staff were all helpful and friendly and the dinners superb. We highly recommend Delphi Lodge. Five Gold Stars.

The staff were welcoming and polite, the setting wonderful and the bedroom large with a great view and reasonably well decorated. But the public areas are crowded with cheap furniture in poor taste. The food was adequate and the policy of serving it at one large table is socially awkward. A “table d’hote” works only if there is a genuine host putting the effort in to make an evening work. The hotel benefits from there being little competition in the area, but it needs investment and better management to justify the price.

This hotel is very cute and situated in a great area. Our cottage was set up nice and had all we needed. The cleanliness of the cottage was lacking as the table was sticky from syrup of the previous occupants and the carpet appeared dirty with debris. The most disappointing thing was the beds. The main bed had a mattress so thin you could feel the springs, my 6ft tall husband slept on the small twin bed because he could not sleep on the awful mattress.

A rare experience not to be missed!
We were on a family holiday with our 3 sons celebrating the youngest's college graduation, and we all LOVED the Delphi Lodge. From the moment you turn off the deserted road winding through the foot of the mountains, you know you've arrived at a special place. We were greeted by name, shown around the house, then to our beautiful rooms. We felt like we were guests of friends, never had the feel of a hotel. Gathering together in the drawing room before dinner, we had the chance to meet the other guests, from all over the world, then went into dinner together, where Michael, the lovely GM, introduced everyone at the table and shared something about each person. By the time we adjourned to the library and drawing room for after dinner drinks by the fire (in JULY!), we had fully traveled to a different time. This was a rare experience that is not to be missed. We had such high recommendations, friends have already booked in for September.

We had been at Delphi Lodge 20 years ago and remembered it fondly so wanted to return. Even better than we remembered. The surroundings are simply magical, sheep up and down the mountains, a beautiful lake and places to walk. A warm welcome and great service throughout our stay. Nice rooms with all the amenities, comfy sitting room and living room, superb food for breakfast and dinner in a communal dining room where you have the opportunity to chat with other travelers in a relaxed manner. Wifi is a bit slow but there is plenty to do without it. Would definitely return.

We spent an enchanted time at the Delphi Lodge Hotel and enjoyed the Country House feel of our stay. The property is beautiful and a really magical feeling about it. Loved meeting people from all over the world and dining with them. Fantastic accommodations and delicious food.
Wish we could have spent a week at the Delphi Lodge Hotel.

Authentic charm
Authentic heritage lodge that allowed us the chance to experience a bit of what it was like to stay at Delphi decades, if not a century or more ago. Charmingly fits into the timeless beauty of one of Ireland’s great natural treasures. Certainly a highlight of our trip to Connemara.

For a real treat and unique, exclusive experience!
Delphi Lodge is a really special place - 'not a hotel' they say .. and indeed it so much more! We stayed for 2 days and were greeted by name on arrival, joined other guests for a pre-dinner drink and a chat and had a lively and delicious dinner with the group at a magnificent long table. The staff couldn't be more welcoming and helpful and you quickly feel at home in the beautiful old house (I had a bit of a 'Downton Abbey' moment- though it's not on the same scale!). The views are spectacular (& sometimes the gillie is showing people how to cast a fly on the front lawn!), the rooms are filled with old world charm and it feels like you are living in a different world for a few days. We walked for hours on the nearby beaches and toured around enjoying the scenery. I highly recommend a visit there.

A place to chill out (or fly-fish with a passion).
A place to de-stress. From the start we were welcomed by friendly, but unobtrusive staff. Nothing was too much trouble - you only have to ask. The en-suite rooms are delightfully appointed with stylish and comfortable furnishings. Waking up at whatever time suited us and looking out at the Connemara mountains and over Fin Lough was amazing. Breakfast was a casual affair with a personal service that made you feel special. The evening collective meal times were a delight - lots of chat with similar minded people from all over the world, all comfortably accommodated around the longest of tables - and oh the food! - the dishes were created and served with a passion. The open honesty bar and wine list were both comprehensive and well stocked.
It was a delight that the staff all appreciated that it was our holiday! Ask any of the staff and their local knowledge was most useful in getting the best from our four day stay.
It was a great place to recharge - far enough out of the way to be very peaceful, yet close enough to some great towns not to feel isolated (but you will need a vehicle to get about efficiently).
We hope to go back and fish next time as the support available for fly-fishing seemed amazing!

Une adresse de charme à ne pas manquer
Nous avons passé 2 nuits, nous recommandons au minimum de diner sur place, la grande table d'hôte très chaleureuse et la cuisine délicieuse valent la peine. Salon et bibliothèque so cocoon! Accueil adorable.

Beautiful place wonderful people!
Our stay at the Delphi Lodge began with a greeting and a tour by the manager, Mike. The lodge feels like a home, and the staff do a tremendous job of making you feel welcome and catering to your needs. The lodge itself is located in the most gorgeous spot within the Connemara. The dinner appetizers began in the front room with cocktails/wine, and then dinner was served in the dinning room. We had a wonderful time visiting with the global group of guests staying and dining with us (Mike served as host at dinner and introduced all of the guests). Dinner was delicious, and the recommended wine was a perfect match to our meal. Breakfast was an array of fruits, an amazing rhubarb concoction, yogurt, cereals, milk, fresh juice, and hot food to order (It was a PERFECT start to the day). We were traveling with our eight month old, and I just have to say that they went above and beyond to accommodate us and her needs....from making her pureed carrots for dinner to providing care for her so I could enjoy my meal. This is a great spot for fishing, hiking, and touring the surrounding area. I only wish we could have stayed longer.
