The staff were very friendly and accommodating! We felt very welcomed and appreciated the hospitality. Their attentiveness to holding our luggage and getting us checked in made traveling easy and stress free. I would recommend this property to anyone visiting Athens. It is in an ideal location! Most importantly, the property is clean, quaint, and wonderfully staffed.

The hotel was wonderful! It was clean, the check in and out process was great. The breakfast was incredible. They were so nice and allowed me to check out a bit late. I would stay there again. The hotel is about 10 months walk from the square and a little more to the Acropolis.

Sweet Home Hotel was very clean and well maintained throughout our stay. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, making check-in and our overall experience easy. Breakfast was fresh and delicious with a good variety of options. The location is excellent, with many of Athens’ main attractions within easy walking distance. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Fantastic location, cute common areas, wonderful breakfast and helpful staff. Room was unexpectedly tiny and window faced inner patio with some smell

What a quaint and lovely hotel this was! It's set in a great location within walking distance to shops and restaurants around Plaka yet still retains that boutique feel. Alexia at the front desk greeted us so warmly it felt like coming to stay with your favorite relatives. I wasn't able to take advantage of the breakfast as I had an early pick up but it smelled delicious. The bed and bedding were divine, especially after walking around in the heat all day. Highly recommend!

We booked for one night. We arrived in the evening and when we entered our room, it smelled really bad. Like sewerage. We informed reception. They acknowledged the smell, it was and tried to solve it with cleaning products. Of course, it didn’t work. They didn’t have any other rooms available and couldn’t offer any other option. We were quite accommodating. Asked them if they could arrange a room in another hotel near by. We only wanted to take a shower and go out for dinner. They said they couldn’t do that. They only called a hotel near by to check availability but didn’t offer to pay for the room At the end, we had to leave and pay ourselves for another room in another hotel (which was newer, cleaner and cheaper by the way) Sweet home ended up offering a 50% reimbursement. Which is unacceptable. We paid 50% of the fee for a room that was in no conditions to be used. Im a frequent traveler, I have more than 100 booking only in this application and it’s the first time we live a situation like this. I’m sure the hotel and management is great when things go as expected but quality and service is better defined by how you react when things go wrong.

The location was wonderful. On a quiet side street in Plaka. Very convenient to everything. The staff was great. The breakfast was very good - fresh and varied with local specialties to sample. We even had a view of the Acropolis from our window. Decent size bathroom and good size shower. On the downside, the room was small with limited storage so we had to live mostly out of our suitcases. There is a wardrobe for hanging a few items but no drawers. You can overlook this deficit if you are not planning to spend much time in your room. Overall, it was a great stay.

I stayed at Sweet Home Hotel for two nights in late April 2026 as part of a wider "odyssey" across mainland Greece. Location (a few steps from Syntagma Square), room and breakfast were all just perfect. Also, staff was very kind and helpful. This hotel is a true gem, and I recommend it whole-heartedly.

The room was very clean and pretty. The only complaint was the pillows were a little stiff. BUT the staff were lovely. They were very accommodating and helpful. On our last day we had to check out before breakfast was ready, the staff made us a breakfast box to take on our way so we were still able to eat. I was very grateful.

Sweet Home Hotel is an awesome place to stay. While staying there one can understand what hospitality means, starting from the room to small details, everything has been taken care of with love and complete dedication to their guests. Location is perfect, close to everything, rooms are nice and neat, breakfast is tasty and one actually see the kitchen when it is prepared.
