Hotel and room was beautifully decorated and well-kept, very in-tune with city. The room was quiet and close to city centre. The hosts spoke good English. The room is large with a decent, modern-ish bathroom. Whilst the hosts were helpful when asked, the service was overall inconsistent. Some days our room wasn't cleaned and toilet paper not restocked, hot water for tea would be given at breakfast one day then not the next. The welcome drink that was listed on Expedia booking was never given (not that we really mind, its just the principle). The bed was small both in width and length, as a tall person my feet hung off the end. Also, we found it bizarre that there was no toilet seat on our toilet?! (and this was the most expensive casa we stayed at in Cuba, by a long shot). We also had laundry done and it was returned extremely damp despite no rush to return it. Overall, this is a beautiful hotel and well kept however the very expensive price tag (relative to Cuba) is not worth the money in our opinion.

Nice and clean property but not what I had booked
The place is really like a palace ,so beautiful and well decorated ,but my room was not which I had been booked! It was more smaller than 30 m, no mini bar,no refrigerator ,no any view and no any wifi possibility at all. The owner was very kind and helpful .Breakfast is excellent and it served in a fantastic courtyard.

Really beautiful colonial style building, right next to center, you can also enjoy just stay inside and have dinner! Good breakfast! Spacious rooms ! The only problem for us that we really like to sleep in the dark, there was some light coming in because of the high windows over the shades that cannot have curtains ( high ceiling). But overall I recommend it , it was the most beautiful house we stayed in Cuba and lovely staff.

Superb!
I recently stayed in Lagarto Ciudad for 1 night and found this to be a great option in Cienfuegos! It was very close to the historic centre (and other big hotels), exceptionally clean and had beautiful traditional Cuban interiors. This place is fantastic value for money!
